its good he isnt afraid of riding. he'll have no fear once he gets on a big bike. im the same way. i've been knocked out cold for about 2 minutes, i have come off the bike in mid air and landed and unfortently i remembered. but i just moved to a 250f and i am not afraid of anything you cant get me to shut off the power on the bike. but i hope he is doing good. tell him keep his hopes up and keep on trucking

As the father of four kids who all ride I can understand the pain and stress your going through.
I'm glad it looks as though he didn't seriously injure himself.
I can tell from your post he's going to be a TRUE ENTHUSIAST.
When the kiddos put the injury behind them shortly after the tears and get back on, or ask "is the bike ok" when they can't ride afterwards, it's a sign that they love riding as much as you enjoy watching and riding with them.
As someone else posted earlier in this thread, get him some gear as soon as you can, and make him wear it every time he rides.
Welcome to the world of being a father of little motorcycle riders! I promise you that the good times outweigh the bad 1000 to 1.
See Ya,
Kelly

hmmm... parents and their over protective , and loving personalities... my cousin and older brother were gonna get bikes for their 7 yr old boys but when i crashed they changed their mind. All i thought was if i got a bike when i was seven and didnt have to teach myself to ride i never would have went so fast around thouse turns, anyway i know u cant help it but if they love it dont take it away.

UPDATE:

I believe that he is going to be ok without anymore needed CAT scans or anything of that nature. He woke up this morning and the swelling is gone, and the pain seams to have subsided as well. He was chasing the dog all over this morning.

Thank you for your kinds words guys/gals. He will be riding again as soon as I can get home before dark.

Man, this is a HUGE load off my mind.

Great news Motoman, Glad he is going to be alright. But that does bring up a question. If Motoboy can bend fence poles at 3 yrs old you may want to be very very very nice to the boy, Wouldn't want your protapers twisted into a pretzle because he wasn't allowed to stay up after bed time

LMAO at Ranger...that was funny bro

He has a great point Jim...unless you want the boy controlling you because you are scared to tell him what to do you better start lifting weights so it will be the other way around

Thanks again guys, we are going to the MX shop this weekend and fitting him for some riding clothes.

He won't stop bugging me about getting back on the bike. (Thank god. )

I think I may have created a monster.

Thats great MotoMan, if he is half as excited as I was when I got my riding "outfit" he wont want to take it off when he gets it.

Don't buy just apparel only.
Get knee/shin protectors, elbow pads, and a chest guard while your there.
I've found that local dealers will usually come down some on the price when its a package purchase for the kids. Now how come they wont do this for purchases I make for myself???
Have fun,
Kelly
