Cool stuff! I am already suited up though, with a neck brace, chestprotector and knee/shin pads, elbow pads...etc...

Plus I am young and heal fast! LOL

There are two kinds of neck protection. One is the Neck Nut, that floats around the neck. The other is a Neck Roll that fits tightly onto your chestprotector. My kids use both. We just went to the 661 Neck Roll, and my son really likes that a lot better than the nut. The best part, is that it's mounted to the chestprotector, so I don't have to remind him.

The more protection you've got, the better. We all know you can still get hurt, but no reason to be hurt when a simple product would save you. When I got back into riding a few years ago, I neglected to buy knee pads (I know very stupid). I told my wife she could buy me some for Christmas. Then I went out and crashed hard, broke a leg, and tore up my knee really bad...2 days before Christmas Just having knee pads would have saved the large portion of flesh that is now missing from my knee.

I personally think the Neck Nut offers more neck protection. I use a Simpson because it was better looking than 661 and I have no complaints.

Get the Evs knee pads, that is what I was wearing when I had that wreck and I landed first with the knee, and then everything else! But the pads held up and look like new!!

These look pretty good! They looks like a cheaper alternative to the more expensive carbon fiber knee braces?

Well I'm sitting here typing with my arm in a splint and sling due to breaking my elbow, so I definitely plan to pick up some elbow guards before I go riding again. And while I'm at it, I'll get a pair of knee guards. Fox has some that are only about 20 bucks a pair (elbow and knee), that's what I plan on getting. I know that just having a simple guard on my elbow would have prevented the injury I got from the fall.

Chad...man, that sucks, knowing that a small piece of equipment could have saved you from an injury.

My next protective gear purchase will be a set of knee braces. After banging up my knee a few weeks ago...I've decided that the ability to walk comfortably is a MUST.

Haha yeah, no kidding. A simple, inexpensive pair of elbow guards and that little get-off would have been nothing at all. Oh well. Live and learn, right?

I hear ya on the knee guards. I've never had any problems with my knees (knock on wood) and I'm gonna take the lesson from the elbow and go ahead and get some knee protection BEFORE I hurt one or both of them!

How's your knee now?
