Looking for WA Riding Areas

I live in Washington. Looking for riding areas. CleEllum was the place many years ago. Tired of goat trail riding. Tired of paying big bucks to ride tracks.
Tired of getting chewed out (and some have gotten tickets) for so called "trespassing". There has got to be a cool place to ride with open areas and big hill climbs! Sound familiar?

Anyone out there who knows a good place to ride. Let us know. After all isn't this what it is all about!

I check trailsource.com when going to a new area. It's a start.

Well, in SW Washington there is Jone's Creek. As long as you have a helmet, spark arrestor and your bike is registered, you are good to go. Lot's of good trails, hillclimbs, fire roads, etc. There is a similar place just west of Olympia, I think it is called capital forest or something like that. Welcome to ATM!

What part of WA? I know of some trails, but if you didn't like the Cle Elum "goat trails" they may not be for you.

I am old enough to remember the "coal hills" riding area in Cle-ellum.
Closed at the end of the 80's, The coal hills riding area was the best riding a dirt rider could want. I called it the disneyland of dirt riding. Rolling hills open terrain of all kinds. Tracks, jumps, hills so big the were all but impossible. Or anything inbetween. Sob, I never thought it would ever be closed. a real shame. So now I have to either pay big bucks to ride a track all day, or ride trails that are so tight that you are lucky to get a cr250 into second gear!

There has got to be somewhere to ride where you are not weaving between tree's all day!
