Default Leaky gas tank please help!!!

After about six rides yesturday we found that my tank started to leak. I need somthing to seal a plastic gas tank. Ive read kreem, but all i can find is for metal tanks. This tank is custom plastic welded together. A new tank isnt an option. This is for my crf/gasgas 230. I want to be able to ride by momorial day.
Thanx

Once you find the crack, take out the tank and drain it, clean around the crack really well and make sure there is no gas coming out. I have found that if you use a good urethane epoxy (the kind where you have to mix the epoxy and hardener), it will seal the tank (if the crack isnt to big) and keep the crack from getting larger. Make sure the epoxy is gas-resistant, and then wait for 24 hours before filling it with gas. You should be able to get a tube of it at an auto parts store for a few dollars. Hope this helps..

That or just get a plastic welder from somewhere like rocky mountain and weld it up.

Hey ur a quick one! We got the welder cause thats how the tank is held together. Right now I'd just like to get it to stop leaking. Does anyone know if Kreem is for a metal tank?

piche, i'd go for the epoxy. my feind fell and he cut a small hole in one of the crankcase covers and was dripping oil. he took it off and put some epoxy on the inside and it hasn't leaked since.

I've used Kreem in metal tanks before. As far as the cleaner part - I'm not sure, but the sealant part should be not problem. I just coats the inside and forms a barrier (against the rust). I don't know if this would hold the gas for any length of time. I'd go with what the guys suggest, the sealant.
