Very nice! I've been toying with the idea of getting a Yamaha YZF600. Probably a 2002-2005 model. Let us know how you like it.

Those SV 650 are great little bike!

My friends wife has one & she can hang it all out on the track with it!

They handle very well & are a ton of fun, just remember don't ever try & show off for your buds, you will get a ticket or worse!

Trust me on this one, I've got the scars & had to pay the fines too!

Yeah, I know what you mean. I like to take off up the road in my car and show off, but Ive promised myself I wont do that on my bike. As tempting as it is, Im keeping both wheels on the ground at all times. Thinking about other people pulling out in front of me with two wheels down scares the hell out of me, let alone only one wheel down.

Plus, Ill blow the motor if I try to wheelie it. They front cylinder doesnt get oil in a wheelie.

My dad won the WMRRA championship (Washington Motorcycle Road Racing Association) with that exact same bike. They are good bikes, but whatever you do, do not make it into a superbike. my dads superbike blew up almost every weekend!

Its staying exactly as it sits, I think. I may put a small windscreen on it for longer rides, but other then that, no modding. Its already got a full yoshi high mount exhaust, Timing-Retard Elimination, an R6 throttle tube, and a few other mods. I wont need any more power- this is my first street bike.

SFAL,
Excellent choice on the SV650. That is one nice scoot you have there. The SV and its big brother are really popular here. Have fun and be safe.
