| Copied from Houston Motocross Well to start off people say its not tragic to die doing what you love but on sat when Jeff and Jeffrey my daughter and i were riding and i watched my friend of over 20 years jump over a berm to what became his death i no longer feel that is true. i want to thank the people who helped us load bikes and let me leave the bikes with them so we could meet the heli in Austin. Jason Craig Cody and the others i did not get their names. Jeff was breathing on his own and when they took off for the hospital they called and told them he had a pulse and was breathing even though they had put a tube in so as to help.the doctor said he lost pulse on the way and they fought to keep him going even at the hospital but it was too much and he passed. i want to tell you about the man , you here about someone who will do anything for anyone but this is so true about Jeff. it didn't matter what where or why he was there to help and also not to mention who ,friend stranger casual acquaintance.i spoke to one girl who told me after the storm he came over and cut trees off her house and out of her yard for several days and not for a dime but because he knew she needed the help.we could not go anywhere with out seeing someone he knew ,it was a big joke with our kids and our friends that we have been in San Antonio ,New Braunfells, Colorado,Louisiana etc. and he would run into someone he knew because every one liked him and he liked everyone.he made me a better person and showed me how to be an easier going person cause he would say aw Rance its no big deal and just let stuff go. he did not judge others no matter the situation.he was a member of new hope church and is now with Jesus.the things he was most proud of were his daughter amber 20 years old and Jeffrey 12. he would take her out on tuesday to ride all alone and cheer her on as she was learning and call me up and say my baby girl is riding so good Rance you should see her she can put in more laps than we can with out stopping..and little jeffrey was with us sat and the last thing he said was come on i want to see you get the finish line jump and we ran loops just working on that jump and he nodded to me and said you see my boy fly'n Rance and then took off for the last time.I don't know what happened to make him turn the throttle when he landed,i think he just got sat back when he landed and once it started pulling he couldn't let off and went straight off the berm after the two step up step downs and then the long table.this is the first time I have got on HMX since the accident.i want you people to know that i left 30 thousand dollars worth of bikes and gear with perfect strangers and never had a worry about it because you are the people you are.just good people.folks don't understand it when we talk about our motocross family but we know..Jeff had know life insurance so we have set up an account at Pearland state bank in his name to help pay for bills and for his kids.thanks for what i read about the benefit race..his daughter and son both say their dad would not want them to stop riding and they will not,I and Jeff's other friends will be there for that people I truly loved this man more than my own brother so forgive me for going on but its done viewing is wed night 5 till 8 at Crowder funeral home in Pearland and funeral on Thursday at 10am at same thanks to all and pray for family |

| Sorry to hear about your friend's passing. Prayers and thoughts sent for you and his family. Why is it always the good people that leave so soon? I know why; because no matter how long they are with us, its never long enough. |

| If it says I missed it twice...how old? Despite what the author says in his first few words, I still and always will believe it is better to be taken from this earth while doing something you want to be doing. Prayers out. |

| This is definitely a tragedy for any family. It turn out that Jeffry's daughter went to school with my daughter Shannon. We will do what we can to help them in this darkest of times. She also has a 12 yr old little brother. Please keep praying for the family. Jeffrey Robertson was very well thought of in the community and in the "Off-Road Family."
