Its hot around here!

Its been 100 degrees here lately, day in day out! Bike riding is tapering off cause its so dusty. Heck I went fishing the other day and had to pull seed ticks off them<---lie. I've been mowing all day in 45 minute cycles. I'm hoping all my grass dies!!!!!!!!I let it go along time because of gas prices. It cost me around 75 bucks these days just to mow. Round up is my new best friend. So I'm wondering how hot is it where you're at?

here in colorado the record is beaten for most days over 90 degrees and its still going today has been hot and our swamp cooler is down

Triple digits here this weekend. The RM is in hibernation til the first cool front of September.

As for Roundup, I sprayed 70 gallons at the farm and killed everything in site. LOL Its a mega draught here. Very, very very bad.

I guess it hasn't rain here in at least 45 days with temps all in the 90's to 103. I still wil stir up some dust tomorrow. I got to break in my bike. We got a HS at the end on the month. Its a dust bowl there when it rains.I think it will be concrete by then, but I like hard pack.

It's been in triple digits all week here. The heat index has been ridiculous! Supposed to be close to 110 tomorrow.(heat index) 105 for a temp.
We talked earlier today and decided not to ride.

I'm in Meridian, Ms. this week, temps have ranged from 99 to 102, while here. That's not the problem though, the humidity has been 90 and 100 too!! Pretty bad when you break out in a hard sweat even when you have a fan blowing directly on ya, and not even doing anything physical, just watching machine run, and tweeking the machine.

106 and partly cloudy so the moisture is up (about 25%) so it feels a little sticky right now. This is pretty mellow for this time of year. Usually we see an average of 110-115 but it's still hot. I guess we are real lucky that our humidity is very low compared to other places out there.

In 2001, I was still doing A/C work and got a surface temperature (about 5 feet off the ground and in the shade) of 129 on the roof of a commercial building in Mecca.

We're riding tomorrow at Ocotillo Wells to train for the Invaders race coming up....ought to be fun!

About 105 yesterday and my friends had to have an outside wedding at 6 PM. Yeah, really smart. I had to be the photographer so I was running around like a madman in dress pants and shirt.

I just checked the temp at Taylor Park Colorado and it's 71 for a high today. I sure wish I hadn't canceled my vacation there this year!

Amen, Mark, we have been triple digits since last weekend by the site thermometer. I can't even say its reading hight since it is calibrated. I figure the seabreeze here gives us a little break so we don't feel as oppressive as your place.

Bill, you just reminded me of what a sea breeze was

living 500 mile inland from the coast has it's downfalls in summer.

We call it the doctor (sea breeze) over here, right on cue it comes in and gives you relief.

Bill I don't know about sea breezes...but it must be nice. I finished up bush hogging today and tired to kill every piece of grass I got. There has been thunder storms blowing up around here everyday. It just don't blow up over head....we keep getting missed. This after noon I was putting rad braces on my bike with 2 fans blowing on me and still was sweating like a crazy.
