Default Internet-Search-Tribute To Boobie Linder For Those Of You Who Knew Him

I was just casually doing some surfing and linking up with different sites this evening. I ran across this and felt like posting it for a couple of my bros here on
The article is from April of '03 and gives just a little insight into San Jacinto Cycle Park before many of us even heard of it. If you are interested, the entire article is here http://www.evovintage.com/round_5_san_jacinto.htm
But this is the part that caught my eye.

In the EVO-I / III moto Boobie Linder let Brad Burnie lead all the laps except the one that counted. Linder had seen the Vintage guys doing the triple and decided his 77 400 Maico had the right stuff and started clearing the jump, taking the win from Burnie, who hadnít done it yet. In Moto 2 Linder had the jump wired and smoked the class. Burnieís XR350 Honda was at a huge disadvantage and it would be suicide to take a 300 lb trail bike and try it.
Results:
EVO-I Int:1.B Linder 2.M Howell
I was happy to see that he is still represented on the net.

Thanks Jedi!

If my old memory serves me right I was there & so were Vintage Dave. I think that keetoman was there Too!

Yup I just went & looked at the article & look at the date, it was the day after the GMB planing meeting ride for 03'. So Mr. Keetoman was there most of that day!

TRXMan, this was a race just a couple of years ago. Boobie didn't really race "back in the day". He did have a LOT of natural talent. You would have never met a nicer guy at the races. Evo races aren't the same without him around.

Keeto, may that damn XR350 burn in Hell. I don't have a single vintage fender that doesn't have marks on it from that bike. Brad, Boobie and I all believed in "rubbin' is racing"
