Default Internal engine paint?

I know ive seen something to this extent on television but for the life of me cant find the stuff or anything about it. From what i remember they were rebuilding a car engine in a high performance shop and they used a red paint in all the places that oil would touch that wasnt a moving part. May be just my imagination but i would swear i saw this am i crazy or does someone have info. Im rebuilding my drag bike engine and would love this type of extra boost in the friction department. Thanks people.

Sounds good

I dont think I would buy this product unless I heard more from people who have actually used it. I`ve never heard of it before and it seems a bit "pricy"

Yes... We use a paint like substance called "Gliptall" at work all the time for gear-box rebuilds. The purpose for this product is to;

#1. Trap any contaminants (grit, dust, filings, ect. ect.) to the sides of the gear-box after it has been rebuilt. Gliptall is not effected by oil so it will not brake down and come off.

#2. Oil will run off the gliptall painted surfaces faster then bare metal. Thus giving the gear-box better oil return to the pick-up points.
