Default iCAT - Check this out...

Check out transworlds review of the iCAT (I'd never heard of it). Seems pretty cool.

Of course I do... Gotta keep up on wednesday wallpaper and all the hotties over there..

I agree, this product looks pretty cool. Not sure it is worth $200, when it doesn't add a bit of bling bling to your machine, but if I had money to burn I'd get one.

Sounds like a great use of 200 bucks to me, if you're one of those who likes to spend money on making the engine faster. This certainly sounds like a better mod then a lot of the 100 dollar mods out there, like pipe spacers and the like. Certainly is tempting to try this one out!!!

Oh, I'm cheap. I don't pay for those. The CRF is sponsored by all the quads. My brother owns a rental business, I buy, and he leases from me, and it pays for them, and my Bike.

So yes, I'm cheap.

BTW, I would probably buy at some point, but for now, I'd just like to see some numbers. I plan on getting a pipe at some point, and if this puts out comparable #'s to a pipe, I'd take it over a pipe.

According to the review, this is better then a pipe.

A pipe simply modifies the power you already have. It dosent really add to it. Example: It will cause you to have less bottom end, but more top end.

This product keeps your existing powerband intact, and simply raises power and throttle response everywhere.

Which, assuming it does what the review says (big assumption), would be much better, IMO, then having a pipe. And at the same price. And this is transferable to any bike you ever buy...unlike a pipe. THis is more of an investment.

The iCAT also will not be compromised when you crash, whereas a pipe will suffer from dents and what not.....

Very valid point garasaki.

I'll certainly keep an eye on it to see what the numbers say.

It would still be nice to add a pipe in addition. I know on my CRF, I like to short shift, so a TA, with the added low end plus the iCAT would be awesome... maybe to awesome if that's possible.

I forgot you ride a 4 stroke. Exhaust for those puppies are expensive!!!

The thing about this iCAT thing, is that we don't have any opinions to go on, other then TWMX. Now, of all the mags out there, I think TWMX is probably the one I"d trust the most. BUT, it's still a mag, and I certainly dont feel comfortable going out to drop 200 bucks just cause they say so...

Exactly.

I want to see some #'s. Maybe we can get them to sponsor ATM and then we can get some to test and we'll help em sell some.

Oh man, sign me up for that. I'd be GLAD to help test this bad boy out.

I'm the perfect tester too...riding what is already a monster, 50 hp 2 stroke, that has a pretty short powerband that really needs some top end added to it.

Plus, I write real nice like...so I could write a real neat little review for em. And I could even work up a little banner since I'm a photoshop guru and all. That's be a pretty kick a$$ little deal.
