Question I want a crate Bike

Does anyone know if, or where I can order a dirt bike still in a crate that I can put together myself? Please let me know.

Not much to put together really. Wheels, forks and fluids are pretty much all they leave off in the box.

Even though its not completely dismantled, i feel it has to be a little cheaper then seven grand for a new bike if you buy it in a crate. Im just looking for a good place to order a bike and have it sent to my house.

At best. And, most dealers will not let you take a bike in a crate due to liability. Unless you have a personal relationship with your dealer or you are after one of the more obscure brands I don't see you getting real far with this.

The other thing that makes getting a bike in a crate a tricky thing to do is that a lot of motorcycle dealerships now use a third party supplier to somewhat assemble the bikes for them

No dealer will sell you one in a crate . They want the assembly / setup / delivery charges . They will tell you about , Liability , It has to be setup by a Professional , insurance , all l that B.S, Bottom line , It's the money ....

I was just talking to my wife about this the other day. I'd be willing to pay the assembly fees for them NOT to put it together. I'm still chasing gremlins on her Beta that were from some lackey using all the wrong bolts to assemble her bike with too much gusto.

I'm beginning to see some validity in completely tearing down a new bike and properly torquing and lubing everything properly.
