We got there and the bike is in EXCELLENT condition. The motor is really clean and the bike looks really good. The top end is brand new, gaskets, piston, ring. My dad says he thinks it's something in the crank case that is messed up because it is really hard to kick. I put all my weight (160 pounds) on it and it wouldn't budge! My dad was able to kick it..and so was the guy..but for some reason i couldn't! But the kickstarter is still really hard. I got the bike for $800. I am about to go out and snap some pics. I really like it! Hopefully when we get it running it will run as good as it looks!

What part of Houston did you guys come from? We had a gnarly downpour this afternoon. Ugh, I'm sick of the rain.

I saw pics of the bike on craigslist and it sure looks clean. I think I'd refrain from trying to kick it over anymore until you get the top end pulled off and see what things look like. Of course, that's just me. Hopefully it's something simple and you'll have gotten a steal.

We were coming from Manvel, It's about 20 miles south of Houston. Near Pearland. Yeah it's really nice! It looks alot better in person! The little kid across the street ( he's about..9) Just got a little pitbike he's been riding around. I rode it a few times down the street and that thing cruises! It's insane!

I tried taking a few pictures but only got like..3 because the camera battery died and that means i can't get them into the comp either. D:

EDIT: Hey i see you live in Conroe! Do you happen to know any good places to go riding? Tracks, trails, parks etc. In or around Houston? I'm not used to riding tracks so nothing too big. :P Thanks!
I will try to get all the pics and stuff in the morning.

I have to go pull the bike in before it gets dark!

Haha it still should have only been an hour!

It was an hour back and that's that we had to put gas!

Stupid camera battery dying. I am going to get really good pictures tomorrow and post them. If me and my dad get time tomorrow we may take the motor out and have a look inside and see if we can see any damage that would make the kickstart so hard.

Too bad you live in NJ, you are around 15 right? It would be awesome to have another person the same age with a 125 to ride with.

Oh and somethine else I forgot to add..on my pitbike (xr 50) the kickstart wont budge, just like yours. My dad took the crank case off and hasnt touched it since. If he finds anything, I'll be sure to let you know.

Hahah. Yeah i have a little 9 year old across the street who has alittle pit bike...another kid down the rode that has an xr80..and..his sister has a huge fourwheeler...and my cousins come over about...once every two weeks with their fourwheelers and we ride. We have 5 acres of land with straightaways, woods , little mini jumps, and hills we ride on. It's pretty cool! I'm hoping i can get this fixed soon so i can get to riding!

EDIT: Oh yeah do that! And if i find out anything too i'll let you know.

If the guy had a decent idea of what he was doing, it should be something simple. Just drain the gas, new spark plug, clean the carb and that might (should) solve your problem. . Man I am so jealous..you got 5 acres! I have I think 0.1 acres? I would love to have some big property for some riding!

Question:

What's the difference between a regular CR125 and a CR125R?

congrats on getting the bike, just make sure u get ur dad to check the engine over, if its that hard to kick then something is jammed up, maybe an old bit of piston in the crankcase, a 125 shouldnt be hard to kick. when u get it going right, u will have a grin from ear to ear. good stuff. let us know what u find wrong with it,

The only difference is that most of the time, we leave the "R" off of the end when talking about our CR125's.

We have 70 acres. Inside the city limits. Yeah, I know I'm lucky. The only con is that we only have trails, no jumps or anything.

Alright so me and my dad are going to go pull the top end off..make sure he put everything back together right...and if it all checks out we're going to go ahead and pull the motor out. Damn weather has delayed us the whole day! And then when it finally stopped...our air conditioner crapped out! So we finally finished fixing that and it started raining AGAIN! So now it stopped so we're going to go ahead and pull it out under the garage...I would take pictures but my sister lost the charger to the camera! Also..i found that the bolt that holds the kickstarter on was super loose..i don't know if that would effect it any but i'm just saying. :P

I will keep updated!

Wow, sounds like you're having trouble doing anything to the bike

Pulled top end and found that connecting rod bearing to the crankshaft is spun.So now we are going to replace the crankshaft and connecting rod.
