Default I love Suzuki

I just got a huge box on my front door and I thought Zoo ordered soemthing for me from Suzuki for Christmas. I aclled Zoo and he said "nope, wasn't from me". I opened the thing and found a Suzuki shirt, hat, and gear bag with wheels. What a great little present this is. Did you guys get anything with the purchase of your bikes? I can't recall if Zoo got anything from Honda?

"with the purchase of any new Suzuki motorcycle or ATV, you get a hat, shirt, tool kit, and awesome team suzuki gear bag"

that's a very choppy quote-from-memory. i read it in a magazine somewhere.

cool! :

KTM did the same thing for anyone that bought a bike in 03'

But I bought mine just before they started the program.

I think the people that were in the progam got.

1. a set of tires.

2. set of Renthal handle bars. (KTM orange)

3. KTM gear bag.

4. a new set of KTM orange & gray grips.

Just my luck, I had to buy new tires before I could even ride the 525 & now I need to buy new bars due to a face plant.

That is pretty cool Ima. :

When I bought my new F150 back in '97 Ford sent me 2 coffee mugs, and 2 Ford collapsable chairs that I had no idea I was getting.

i think suzuki needs to get rid of roger D...i read in racer x that he scouts new racers by timing sitdown minutes versus standing up riding...whata idiot!...maybe he should watch RC rip up the track....sitting on the seat is fine....it does not reflect on lap times or speed...now ya gotta have a collar on yer shirt to be a mechanic in the pro pits...dress codes for mechanics?...well,the mechanic must also have an expensive licence....looks like they don`t want any privateers ruining the show....buncha *****

I see this trend in MX and it is frankly very scary. MX has always been a sport about the little man beating out the big factory sponsored guys but it's becoming tougher and tougher every year. How can you expect to succeed when you are either working on your bike, riding it, or resting from working or riding it. RC, KDub, Bubba, all the top factory guys ride when they want at perfect practice tracks and don't have to pay a freaking dime for anything that they use that is related to motocross. On the other hand a privateer pays for just about everything. Lots are getting lucky these days and getting fuel sponsors and maybe engine sponsors but overall it is just impossible to be competitive against a million dollar race team with multiple mechanics and 5 bikes in their half million dollar trailer.

Sweet, that is pretty cool Ima. Didn't get anything from Yamaha and I've bought plenty of new quads from them.

I didn't know that KTM did that Howard. Too bad that you didn't get in on it. Now when exactly did you face plant and and were you hurt badly?

For those of you that say that Suzuki sucks- you are entitled to your opinion. I was just excited to get stuff in the mail today. I have been happy so far with the bike except for the starting issues and the fact that I am hearing that it is running hot for some folks. I am not saying that this is the best bike and I surely don't want to get into a pissing contest over what color/shape/size/brand.....blah blah blah is better. I just had a great day after I got some free stuff that was kinda cool. kwim?

I think what little issues your bike has are getting ironed out pretty quick. Its a great bike as Holland and Napalm the Woodys and others have already stated after riding it. The best part about it is.... your happy with it and since its your bike thats all that counts!

Yeah just ignore these other ignorant people. Your zuki rocks.

Cool on the stuff. I knew you were supposed to get it, I just wasn't sure how. So very cool. I hope to see you sporting it in Mesquite.

When I bought my YZ426 and my son's TTR90 ($6700 plus tax all in one shot!) the dealer walked the bikes out and leaned them against my truck , said thanks and walked back in and closed up the dealership..........haven't been back to them since. They even balked at getting me the owners manuals and laughed when I suggested they throw in the shop manual for the 426.

Sounds like Suzuki is taking some proactive steps to make customers for life. I applaud them for that!
