I got to ride Sunday

To all,
After a long trying experience with the three surgeries and no riding since last October I finally went to the track to ride yesterday. It was pretty hot (about 91 with 95 % humidity) but the track was beautifuly set up. I rode two motos one with 6 laps and one with 5 laps. Not much but it was so good to get back out with John and do something besides watch. The 426 ran beautifully and no problems with my back, though I was pretty tired when we finished. I still tire out really quickly and need to work on my stamina and do a lot of stretching to stay loose for the longer motos comming up.

My thanks to everyone here in the ATM family for all the prayers, cards and gifts while I was down. I will be here for any of you that need anything, anytime.

Thanks for the encouragement. Char, as ugly as this old Marine is nothing makes me look good, but I'll take the compliment any day!
And yes Ernie the number sure beats anything less, especially no laps.

The time in the garage with John is priceless to me now. I never realized how much you could miss being out there working and bench racing with your son. Even the bearing grease feels good on me now. . I sure hope Jim is truly close behind me on the rides. We all need to get over this bad spell and return to keeping this sport going strong.

At the rate I am going I should be able to ride at the GMB, I did a few test runs the other day, and everything went pretty well, of course there was no jumping or anything like that but it felt soooo good to be back on a bike.

Wooo Hoooo!!! That's great Bill. Keep it up. The stamina thing is really good news! Just think, you have to go riding more to increase your stamina. Sounds like a good thing to me
