| With your YZ125 you put in 650mL of transoil in. But what I usually do is drain the old stuff, then put screw back in underneath, then unscrew the bolt on your case (the one above and to the right of rear brake lever) and procede to pour in the 650mL. Then I keep pouring SLOWLY until it starts to come out of the hole in your case. Hope this helps and good luck! |

| if it is on the YZ there should be a drain plug check hole. Fill it up till the oil comes out of that hole, and it should be full, but to make sure, fire it up, let it idle for a few minutes, shut it off then check it again through the check bolt hole, and fill if necessary. Im not sure about the brake fluid though, but i do know that if the pads are not new and the fluid is low, then when u put new pads in, u will have to let some of the fluid out, or i think u do. hope this helps |

| 1000ml would be a liter. 500ml is half of a liter. 650ml is a little more than half. if you look on the side of the gear oil bottle you'll see the ml increment markers, it takes any guess work out of it. cheers, -Z |

| whos the dumbass that said just put the whole liter in there?? ya if your talking about a YZ125, then put 650ml (.65 L) i have found that when you pour the oil in and it starts to come out the lil screw hole, its still not enough, you gotta turn on the enginne and let that oil wrok into all the little spaces, then add more... |

| Yeh thats what I was trying to say. I forgot to add that you gotta warm the bike up to get oil circulating into all crevices. |

| Ok..so I just fill it up to the top of the hole and then warm it up and add more to the top on the hole? |

| just to be clear, you don't fill it to the top of the 'oil fill' hole ... fill it up to the 'oil check' hole up near the front of the clutch cover. -Z |

| you mean the plastic screw thats right behind the kickstart?...Or is there another check hole that I dont know about..... |
|
#15
| ||||
| ||||
| that plastic one behind the kickstart is the oil fill hole. don't put oil in until it comes out of that one! the oil check hole is on the front side of your clutch cover, right about where the water pump cover is. you remove the oil check bolt and that's where the hole is that you use to check the level. -Z |

| cool, glad you got it worked out. before you go riding full-tilt, be sure that brake line is properly bled so you don't reach for the brake when you really need it and come up with a hand full of nothing. -Z |
