Very fortunate that he landed on the down side of the jump so there was some marginal absorption of the landing. Still, talk about some major PUCKER!
Just think if they had a helmet cam on him... wonder if they would have had to bleeeeep out the OOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH Shhhhhhhhh............

I've never been much of a Reed fan either, but that's changing. Especially lately. And then to watch him crash like that, get up and ride back to 14th place.. To me that shows the heart of a champion.

I agree with Val, he's lucky there was a downslope and just lucky in general. That could have been really, really bad.

I was not what you would call a huge Reed fan but the winds of change are there. I mean how many riders love the sport enough that when the ride isn't there they put their own money where their mouth is and create the opportunity to ride?

I ride because I LOVE it, it's a part of me a part of my soul, I see that in Reed now and I respect that.

Thanks
Scott

Falling on the dowhill slope is the only reason he's still walking. I can't help but believe that had he fell down to the track, his racing days would be done.

Glad he's OK. He's definately a trooper.

His interview after the race was classic, "I was coming up the face and next thing I knew I was rolling down the windows BACKWARDS down the track!!"
I'd rather be "lucky" than "good" definately fits here..

If you watch close, he was already crossed up before the face of the jump. But he don't know how to let off just a touch lol Hammer down adn go hard!!! It's how he does it. Good to see he was ok. But you gota wonder, the way he went down, did he get the jockies out of his crack lol

I'll give it to him lots of heart and drive/luck for sure and good he was able to walk away let alone race away. Getting out of the throttle, in situations like this, could have compounded the outcome and possible not in his favor . GO REEDY GO!!!!!

Seeing him get back up and ride definitely made me change my opinion of him slightly as well. He still looked like Official Putz #1 in his little pre-race interview with what's her name though.

You were looking at Reed? I always watch Aaron Bates in those situations, having met her in person she is a BEAUTIFUL woman.

Thanks

Eh, to each his own I guess... she must look way better in person than on camera.

She does, I never thought she was very good looking until I met her in SLC and Vegas.

Then again she is a resident of Utah.... Park City I think.

Thanks

That one will go down in history next to Doug Henry's Budds creek banzai. I think they should name that one after Reed.. Skydiver or something maybe 'Chad's Cannonball'
