Nice truck, But I say save your money, then buy me the CRF250 when it comes out

Seriously, have you test driven it?

Also, the MPG won't be very good with those big clunky tires. Kinda like running in MX boots vs. Running in a new pair of nike's.

Gots almost 100,000 miles on it
but as long as you put some money into it and take good care of it it should last a long time

Also It has allot of bells and whilsels, AC power windows/locks
I like that its a 4 door too.

Good Truck, i say get it!

Seems like a good truck. Woody you will know for sure when you come across the one that is for you.

For example, my dad drove by a chevy deakership, saw a shiny red chevy 3500 454 8 foot extended cab duely and ended up driving home with a different car.

Wait, your time will come

Woody KDub, The truck looks good. What will you be doing with it? If pulling much the 351 will be short on power. If you are just hauling a bike in the back with the occasional trailer it will work great. I had 93 Bronco with the 351 and loved it (Not one Problem with the Engine) and only replaced the Tranny once (at about 90k) still running strong when I sold it with 170k. I was getting about 13mpg with 33 12.50s and a 4 inch lift.

If you have not had a crew cab truck you WILL LOVE it!!! I absolutely love my crew cab!!!

Thanks guys. I think I am going to take the wife to see it. I like it a lot.

I'm not sure how big the tires are on it, but looks like they are probably 33's.

As for towing, I have an old ('68) ford F-250 with a 390 that I currently put a camper on. I'm thinking junk the camper and get me a travel trailer for camping. which would get used 3-4 times a year, other wise, it will be the wifes vehicle, and transportation to the track for my CRF.

13mpg isn't too bad, but I would guess with a 1 ton chasis that thing probably gets closer to what a 460 would...

Hmm, I'll have to go see it and see what I think.

I really want a truck for the family car (then I will only have 2 vehicles instead of 3). The wife thinks a Mini-van would fit the bill better...

Hmmm... Guess I better go see it.

Woody, not too bad, but don't expect 13 from it, at least not in the city. My 92 F250 with the 351 gets about 14-15 on the road, 12 in town. Since that is a 1 ton, it probably has 4.11's in the axles and won't do as good. Don't listen to what everyone else says, the 351 can pull, but not at 90mph fully loaded. 100K is nothing, my 92 has 160K and I've barely touched it. Whatever you do, make sure to check ALL of the following before buying: U-joints, brakes, ball joints, tie rods, etc. The last thing you want to do is to buy a truck only to find out it needs $300 worth of brakes or something like that. Lucky you, since it's a 1 ton and not a 3/4 ton it has a straight axle instead of IFS up front- less stuff to wear out. Good luck with your purchase!

Thanks and welcome to the 1000 posts club... Youv'e earned it.

I'm not really worried about the miles. I usually don't buy them (can't afford them) unless they have at least 100K on them.

If I don't get it, would you be interested Cowboy? I want it, but I know my wife is not too keen on the idea.

I would be interested, but there are a few problems for me:
(1) Red interiors abhor me
(2) How would I get my sorry hide to Utah to get it?
(3) I think parking a 4 door at school would be an absolute NIGHTMARE, even the thought of parking an Ex-cab gives me the creeps
(4) I don't like Auto trannys (personal pref)
(5) I can't really afford a new truck right now anyway, as much as I'd like to :
Oh, one other thing I forgot to mention- from what I understand, the auto trannys (code E40D) like to be taken care of- if you neglect them they will give you FITS. 9 grand is a good price on that truck, check it out good and sweet talk your wife, she will come around eventually

I hate to do this, but 9 grand for a 94 model around here would be a little on the steep side. Espesially with almost 100,000 miles. If your wife will be using it for around town, she will hate it. I recentely traded an ext cab 92 150 off for an S10 because of gas issues also. Those big trucks don't fit in too many parking places either.....Just my 02 worth. Good luck on your decision!

looks really sharp woody. What is book value on it? If you get serious take it to a mechanic and pay 50 bucks to have them go through it to make sure everything checks out ok. I have a very trusted person in Kearns you could go to if it is in SLC. I am not sure your wife would enjoy driving it around town. Sure is a long truck. Looks good and would definatel be nicer than the Nissan for going to the track . Keep me posted on what you as I will definately want a ride in the new rig!

My truck has 35's on it and it's an F250 with no lift. Those are definitely 33's.

Your wife would not drive that thing, however I say do it anyway. She can drive the 240. LOL Good luck, then we can take turns driving out to the track.

That is what I am affraid of too. I don't think she would like driving it around. Especially when I tell her to stop driving it all over because it is putting me in the poor house..

She is okay to get it if we are getting it to replace our other truck, but if we are getting it for her, she doesn't want anything to do with it.
