Default Help please.

Okay I've got a couple of questions for you guys. Tomorrow night I'm going to look at a 1989 KX 250. The guy is asking 1300 for it but I'm hoping to get the price down to 1000. So my question is if the bike is in good condition do you think the 1000-1300 price range is acceptable for the bike? Also are there any common problems or anything for that matter that I should know about when looking to purchase this bike. Thanks in advance for any help you guys can offer me.

Personally, I dont think it is acceptable. But perhaps I am wrong. I mainly pay attention to prices of 125's but for a 1989 I would have to say its a bit much.

I dont know about your area but here that is an acceptable price my uncle and i buy some that need work for around 600 and fix the problems and usually have no problem selling them for around 1200-1500 depending on what we have he sold a 1986 honda prolink cr250 for 1400 and he sold a 1994 cr125 for 1200 so its about right. Good luck on the bike the main thing is to make sure it starts easy, all the gears click and the frame and engine have no holes or cracks pay close attention to the area around the pegs thats where the frame is most succeptable to crack. Enjoy
