Default helmet

Well i wear a TroyLeeDesigns Helment, and i absolutely love it, it is by far the most comfortable helmet i have ever had. It is also lightweight. And there are a few places that have some of them on sale cause they want to make room for the new 06 helmets, so you might want to look at those. Also the HJC ACX-1 is a good helmet for the price, it is also comfortable and lightweight gotta go seeee yaaaaaaaaaaa

I'm wearing a Thor Force helmet. Verry comfey, I needed one size thicker cheek pads though. But there really cheep compared to the Arai's. The Thor helmet cheek pads were about 5 dollars. The Arai helmet cheek pads are somehwere around 30 dollars.

Fit, comfort, and safety bros--and the hope the hope that on impact I won't have the taste of my medula oblongata in my mouth.

Besides, I too am getting old enough now that the higher priced helmets don't seem so exorbitant when compared with the alternative of drooling the rest of my life and having to communicate to my wife and kids through a magna-doodle pad.

Wow Ty, I can't believe you've not broken a visor yet. I've broken 4.

Darrel, I currently have an HJC which I picked up off ebay for $100, great helmet and a great price. Fit is good and it's just as light as my old Shoei. It's currently sporting a broken visor and some nice scratches. I absolutely loved my Shoei...so much that I rode with it much longer than I probably should have.

I know I posted this in an other thread, but I think my next helmet will be a Bell. The price is a little high, but they make a quality product...and I really like the way this helmet looks, hopefully it's comfortable too.

Well out of the three helmets i've had, i've broken 2. The thor being my third. FIrst was an HJC, i broke that one after about 2 rides i bit it in a whoop section on my old xr100 and then i super glued it back and that lasted about 5 rides until i had a small fall and it broke easily, figuring.

Then i had an M2R helmet, and that lasted a while, but then i crashed hard and broke it. This time i didn't break it off, just cracked it up the middle, and there were many stress fractures in it.

They had TLD helmets at Chapparal last month for like 1/2 off for last years model. My friend has an Arai and it is top quality in every way. I have an M2R and previously had a Shoei. I can't tell much of a difference. Well, I landed hard on the back of my head with the Shoei and I can still speak fairly decent...I think. I got the M2R from a friend for free.

Have you seen the Alessi replica?
