your supposed to change oil?? uh oh :

walmart, jiffylube, autozone, just about any place that does oil changes will take oil for ya. most of the time its free, mostly because they get $$ for selling it to a recycle place where they turn it into machining oil.

The auto parts houses will usually have a sticker on the window that says "Oil recycling center" or something like that.

HA! my dad is a mechanic, so he just takes it to work with him. It has it's ups, like he has pretty much any tool at work that you'll ever need. and all the knowledge of motors. especially on my car when i can drive, lot cheaper than taking it into the shop i'll tell you that much.

I've got a Walmart near me I can check too. As you can tell I've never changed my car oil : I just take it to jiffy lube or someplace like that. But yeah I'm getting ready to change my gearbox oil and I just want to do the right thing with the old stuff.

Racer, that's cool your dad is a mechanic, I've got an uncle who is a master mechanic but dangit he lives in another state. My dad knows a bit about that stuff but if I ever ask him anything he gets into a big long winded tedious explanation and I'm like uhh can I just get the cliff notes there dad?

We recycle some of it in our chain saw as bar lube. Helps save money by running one qt bar lube one qt recycled oil.
