Word from Phoenix is that Bubba crashed in a rythym section during practice this afternoon and broke the radius and ulna bones in his lower arm. Looks like a minimum of 6-8 weeks down time.

Where are you getting your info from? My brother is there and watched both practice sessions and the only thing that went down was Stewart's lap times!!!

Info came from inside the pits at the BOB. Bubba's arm is in a cast. He went down in a practice session and was on the ground for 3-4 minutes.

Racer X online is reporting the same thing.

Man, that really sucks big time. Im not really a big fan of Bubba but realize he is one of the most talented MXrs on the tour and was really looking forward to a season of heavy battle.

On the bright side, theres always the MX series which I like a 100 times more anyway!!!

You hate to see anybody go down like that, but a whole bunch of us made this call late last year and said he'd be fast... all the way until he crashed out. He's still a little young, I just hope he doesn't fizzle out the way that Damon Bradshaw did back in the day with all of the pressure on him.

Man, this sucks. Didn't get to see him in Indy last year because he ringed his bell in practice. Now he has to go and break his arm. :

On a side note, it really does take out some of the excitement for the series.

Prior to the crash, Stewart had posted the fastest lap time of the session, a time of 51.281 seconds.

I know this means nothing ....but the kid is younger than Reed or RC....so get used to it...he will be around.......long after Reed and RC are gone.


BTW....Seeing the current race stats for Phoenix.....I am still on the RC bandwagon,
