harescramble race today

Hey guys this wasmy first race since b 4 the GMBII. Let me tell you it kicked my butt!!No practice lap on a 10 mile loop. 1 to 2 ft high sand whoops everywhere. You know how I feel about sand! I was last off the line and made my way back up to 6th out of 10. Best I was all day in my class. on the 2nd lap I went down in the bad sandy section. Made me laugh it was real soft. I stood more today than ever. Im telling you it was 10 miles of nothing but work, No rest areas. On my last lap I was going through the same spot(sandy whoops and went down again. As I was getting up herre coes mister fast guy pinned!!!!!! He looked so good. I said heck I guess you have ti really pin it. So off I went wfo!!! Looked good for about 60 yards then I looked like I was doing some sort of x games move in slow motion. My hands where still on the bars but my body was in the sitting postion above the bars. Hit the next whoop and I was launched. LOL it didn't hurt but It was a eye opener.Did a 1 1/2 gainer best I could tell. Got up and took back off. Then my bike keep felling like it was slipping in gear. A loud noise was coming from my gear box area. Just couldn't get my timiing back afteer that. I thought I wasted my gear box too! Went back to the pits and seen I rounded off every tooth on my front sprocket. Seems there is a reason peeps take off that cover on the front sprocket. There was so much dirt packed in their my chain was not riding on the sprocket and really messed it up! But I had fun anyway

Man sounds like a rough day. I dont ride in sand much either, takes me a while to get the feel of it. Good to hear you had fun though

I'm glad that your OK & you didn't get hurt.

I went to Splendora to test a diffrent carb on the Maico.

Tex Twister was there with his new Honda & i was riding around with him.

I went to the insdie on the finnish line turn & looked over my shoulder to see where TT was as he took the outside line, Wrong move on my part as I did a laugh in Artie Jhonsson fall in the turn.

Later I was chasing Tex & I didn't notice that they has put some water on the track & I did another Artie Jhonsson fall., Just fell over in a muddy corner & was lahuging my a** off.

I had a blast & took a lap on Tex 's new Honda, man that thing is a sweet little bike,

Hope ya get used to sand because it will make for some better monday mornings (less pain when you fall).

macho is right. the whole time your either hittin sandy whoops or fighting your bike in slippery mud, or tryin to dig your bike out of the mud. when i caught up to macho i followed him for a bit and then he had 'stalled' in a mud hole, yes i said stalled, i thought that new auto-clutch doesnt stall at all, hehe.
