Well the way i look at it, you can launch the single, you can launch off the table. Its the same as a triple, but the 2nd gap is filled in (im not such a great jumper)

I dont care what its called, i call it FUN!!!

There is 3 mounds. I just filled one in The space between 2nd and 3rd mound is filled. No different from a triple, just safer. Either way, im not big on label. Call it what you please, either way, if it launches me into the air, its all good

make that 3 feet of topsoil on at least the critical points.. like the jump face, and landings. then water it with the hose and pack it down with the tractor, so that it's like 2 feet. then, run a steel prong garden rake over it to loosen it up....

that's for packy clay... what kind of soil is it? if its sandy, just pile it on, level, and pack it in. then pour more on and then level it.

and use the end loader of the tractor to dig a berm-shaped hole (like 45 degrees or whatever) and pile that dirt up around the edge of it, so you have a berm! if you dig 2 feet down you get a 4 ft berm, 3 feet down you have a 6ft berm, but with the added benefit of only 3' sticking out the top.... bad thing is when it rains, but mud is so FUN!

oooooh and make a gravity cavity too... use the tractor to dig down about 8 feet, and pile up 4 feet of dirt on the top, making a launch ramp.... 60 feet out, pile up the rest of the dirt and maybe some from your big pile, and make the landing. make sure you have lots of room! high speed jumps are the BEST

DONT FORGET THE WHOOPS SECTION!

Im already at the whoops. I made sure theres no trees near them... for some reason my bike and trees seem to have a magnetic attraction. I cant dig down at all for the berms, its clay, so when it rains, it will just fill up. Same with the gravity cavity. Looks like its gonna be as follows- 55-60' triple (or whatever you want to call it), 35-40' table, rythem section (two doubles, approx 15' each), and a 35' double. that should get me started for a while. Maybe you can come up from West VA this summer for a ride blitz!

hells ya! except i'm moving in right about the start of school

make 2 whoop sections... one on one side of the track, and one waaay on the other side... make it right out of a corner. then when you decide to go to a track, you will be PIMPIN.

i just scored a whole bunch of dirt for my "track"... pics of my super-squatted truck to follow

Im gonna get a ton of wood chips as filler, and i gotta buy some cheapo top soil. You can still come up this fall! Im only gonna have one whoops section, but its gonna be a doosey. The tracks not very bike, maybe 60 second lap times (30 sec for bubba )

from california?
sure be right up

Ken are you making a start line? do you have a scanner? if so, do a quick sketch of the track layout and list the obstacles (double, whoops, etc...) and also show where your house, shed, etc

mulch for a start gate is sweet. OR as a burm. rent out a wood chipper and take care of that ol' brush pile your dad keeps telling you to do. turn that into mulch and pile it on an already-made berm, and then mix it in with either a discer or just shovels. also run around town at saw mills (something similar) and collect sawdust by the truckloads and mix it in your dirt. it keeps your dirt from packing into concrete as bad, plus forms ruts easier so you can practice them. you'll form ruts anyway but with the sawdust/mulch, normally the bike will just knock the rut over instead of knock YOU over. its also much easier to groom.

I have a track layout already done. No start gate, just a circle. If we wanna race, well get the hottie down the street to drop a flag How much u think it would be to rent a wood chipper for a day?

heres the layout

ok... i just threw this together but i did it wrong

when you make a start, try to make it so that you enter a LEFT hand corner, that way you can still be on the rear brakes when in the corner and REALLY whip around the back end of the bike in the turn.

i screwed up but this is basically what i'm talking about. which way does the track run BTW
