Default Guess what I put under my butt Friday...

And no, it's not in the garage. I went down to the "local" Polaris/Honda/Yamaha shop to ask some questions about my sled, and since I had time to kill I went to see what they had on the floor. Much to my surprise, there sat the blue beauty. No joking, I spent better than an hour oogling over the thing while trying to keep my 2 kids from burning the store down. Looks very slick in person, much better than the photos. I was surprised at how wide the frame appears when looking at the bike, but when you sit on it wide is definitely not the feeling you get. It was weird to see how much the rad shrouds curve inward for the air scoops too. Cowboy likey very much. Alyssa wanted me to buy it because there's no exhaust pipe to burn herself on (she melted her shoe on my header last summer, but luckily didn't get burnt). Mom's not falling for our pleas.
I almost took them up on their generous offer of $2300 trade in for my bike toward the new one...

A guy I know was part of the crew that shot the first photos with JBS on the thing as well as the new commercials for it and have heard alot about the bike. That thing is sweet, and could only imagine riding it.

I think I would avoid that bike... I might own it if I don't.

$2300 for my 06 with under 40 hours on the meter, brand new rear tire, and about $2k worth of extra crap on it? Nah, I'll pass. I will have a new gen 450 some day rest assured, but I'm not giving away my 06 to get in debt on a bike again. Sure do like having no payments

Chase,

A good friend of mine (macho) once told me I could get anything I wanted by using his advise.
He said, “It’s much easier to ask for forgiveness then permission”.

I've never tried it myself but if you do, let me know how it goes.

As cold as it has been lately, I'll pass I'd burn lots of diesel fuel keeping the truck idling all night long...

Hey - it worked for me once. Not sure I would do it again, until I sit on the bike. Yeh, it was worth it.

Don't Tell Amanda I said that.

LMAO... you guys are sure to get me in trouble As much as I'd like to have a 10 right now, it's not going to happen. Not worth getting into debt on a bike again, just to have its value drop like a rocket. My super clean, low hour 06 would be lucky to fetch $3k right now, which is dismal and disgusting to me... and that's if I could even get any interest in it at $3k when there are brand new bikes being sold for $4500-5k. I like the idea of a brand new bike off the showroom floor, but it's so hard to justify anymore, especially when it only leaves my garage 2-3 times a year.

That is a beautiful thing, but I agree, nothing is worth going into debt for (a toy at least). Been there, done that. You're right about the market being extremely soft. I am in the market for a 250F and there are some good deals, just having a hard time pulling the trigger.

So when will the 250F follow suit?

I don't know for sure... the wife doesn't have much interest in riding bikes, she wants a 4x4 quad
