Oh the nerves! I was ok until I saw the expert line go off then I got really nervous. I was so nervous that if I had the right thing said to me or I had to say the right thing I could have shed some tears. Not from being sad just from the tension and nerves. My stomache doesn't do whoop de doos I just get the emotional type of nerves. I am a big baby. Once I got the bike started and ripped thru the gears and started passing people I felt great!

Wow Dane, sounds like you had a ton-o-fun. Glad to hear all went well and you got that checked flag. Waiting for that banner to drop IS a nervous time. The bomb runs always scared the heck outta me. All those riders, all that dust, all that everything else!! There is nothing like a geared up big bore to get the blood pumping!!!

Russ decided to come up this weekend so any plans I had of heading out there were halted. Since we'll be gone from the 16th-25th I wanted to spend some time with him.

Glad you had fun and had a safe ride.

That does not "EVER" change. Gets a little easier but never changes.

I still get that same feeling when my son or grandson races.
That is why we all come back (most of us).

Ahhh, the adrenaline rush... you just can't beat that feeling. The more you do it the better that feeling gets. Simply euphoric!

Glad you had fun Dane and that you kept it rubber side down

Here's to many more races like it

Sounds like Ken fits in our family just fine. It's good to have friends like that. Thanks Ken!

Sounds like you had a great time! Thats great you got some ATM folks to come out for support! I sure miss D-37 racing. Makes me almost want to uproot the family and move back the Ridgecrest just so I could desert race again! Some time this year when I come down to visit the inlaws ill make a race and look for ya. Keep it up! D-37 racing was one of the better times of my youth!
BTW I dont know if you saw it in my other post but ill be there this weekend if you want to come up for a play ride!
