Default Good year for a project Al Frame Cr250r?

I guess after my last project I took along break from wrenching, but the bug has got me again andi started scrolling through the classified for another restoration victim! Lol yes

I really want to do up a rather iconic bike-CR250 or just a 125, either would be fun... However I would like to seek out some advice before I dive in too deep....

So what al frame years would be good? I'm looking for something with good parts availability but also a usable chassis and motor....

Currently a 2001 CR250 is up for sale in beat up condition ( well it's running and clean Enough ) but there's so a 2007 cr125 up.... Hard call... Advice?
