Blah I just tried fox's site on closeouts and they had a helmet that orig ran 209 for $99!!! Problem is it is only available in XS =(....I really would like to stick with fox as all of my other gear is fox... Just in case I have to use a different brand..is it completely wierd to wear 2 different brands?

My advice is keep shopping around and saving money. Wait until next years model comes out and watch the "old" helmet prices plummet. Char got a smokin deal on her Bell helmet last year and it looks so cool!

It's great to see young men like yourself out earning money and not sitting behind an x-box/playstation all summer.

Nice work on getting out there and working.

It's so easy to take it easy and laze around when you're on a break!

I don't know whether you're a fan of eBay, but check these out.

Maybe something you are afteR?

eBay - fox v3 helmet, Parts Accessories, eBay Motors items on eBay.com

Thanks man ...and its not like I'm not doing work either. My dad keeps me quite busy sanding cars, washing cars, and doing some basic body work. It makes me feel like I am actually earning money.

As far as all your gear matching, thats how I tell if somebody is new to the sport. Either that or some just have that fashion thing goin on. Not me, I like the unmatched old school style. As long as you wear all the needed protection you should be OK. And you need as much as possible so you will still be riding many years from now!!

to chime in on this. Helmets are very important no matter the cost.

Also good luck on the bodyshop trade, My oldest son started out just as you have. after he finished school and stuff he would come to shop i worked at. The after he left school he would make up to 100.00 aday helping me out on custom jobs, now he is ASE I-CAR Gold and make about 45k in his 2nd yr..

So listen to your dad on this job and never think you wont go anywhere in it. I mean if he owns the shop then he must be making a good living for you and your family.
I have been painting for 25+ yrs and love it till i die from it...

Funny.... 3 bikes ago I thought all my gear HAD to match the bike.... and then be the same brand

shoot now LOL I crack myself up. I'll wear an answer shirt with MSR or Thor paints and the other way around. I try to keep the colors close not to hurt anyones eyes. But not the brand. Heck, I rip/tear up too much gear to try and wear the same brand.
