Default Forks on Hon and Yam

Honda and Yammie both have Nissin calipers, from the looks of it the exact same caliper. Is the lower fork end the same on Honda and Yammie?? I looks that way but I've only seen pics of them (compared my yz400 with a cr250 and they looked identical). Thing is - I'd like to put Honda forkguards on my YZ and if the fork is the same it should work. If it will work - which fork guard guides should I use?? I'm after the brakeline mount. (Yes, I know there are alternatives, I've probably seen most of them, I'm just curious. If this doesn't work I'll do it Motoman393-style but I don't like the way that looks...)

Henrik, you can buy a Honda-style brakeline from a few different companies and a new bracket for your Yamaha fork guard that will allow you to do the mounting almost exactly Honda style. I don't know of any companies that make the bracket, but if you go to ThumperTalk and contact oldblue, I know he makes them for like $20 US. I think that is what you're after. And- SHAME ON YOU for thinking about putting Honda parts on your Yammie

Default Yeah...

I know, it doesn't feel right with Honda stuff... :-)

I've seen oldblue's mount and [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] mount and they look good but it feels wierd to pay as much as I paid for the brakeline for just a mount.
