Default foot pegs

I was thinking about getting wider foot pegs are they better or not for riding.

I'm a IMS fan. C.H. Wheat (owner) is a long time old friend and a super expert tuner.
Here is one of my pegs.....
And yes, they are better in my viewpoint.

I like my Pro Circuit pegs

DR2000,
I have been using the Pro Circuit pegs on my '02 YZ 426F for over a year now. They are good solid, well made pegs and offer good grip.

Mainjet. glad to hear C.H. is still making quality dirt bike parts. I remember the super one off bikes Dirt Bike would feature and the tuning tips he offered in the early 70's. Tell him I have admired his work and he was a big influence on this east coast riders tuning and work ethic.

Hey Bill.....
Thanks for the input and I will pass that along.
C.H. tuned my son's bike (XR) in the early 80's and I had lunch with him last week. Of all things, we got to discuss the SR71.
C.H. spent a lot of time working on it a bunch of years before the public ever found out about it. Guess it's still secret somewhat because he still would not tell me much and asked me if I had a need to know. LOL
Anyway thanks for your input and also, Mitch Payton (Pro Circuit) is a friend and his products also are excellent. Can't go wrong with either company.

Talking Mitch is cool too!

Mainjet,
As a guy thast still limps and had a paralyzed right leg until January's surgery I used Mitch Payton as a role model. I was a fan when he was racing Dez until he had his accident. His success has inspired me tremendously. I use a lot of his parts on my 426 (pipe, side covers, etc) and found them first rate. Please tell him I admire him and appreciate all he has done for our sport.

I go fastway all the way! I myself am a 6'3 rider and with the fastways they lowerd me just a little, every little bit counts. 1 Down side to them, if you dont sharpen the spikes, they get kinda slippery when riding in water. I sharpend them and havent had a problem sents.

i wont put down any other peg makers product, since I've only used FASTWAY F3 and the stockers on my honda.

the wider platform really helps out a ton for those cursed with smaller feet.......(let the jokes begin)

I have had the IMS pegs in the past and never had any issue with them, however I love the looks of the fastways and have heard good things, they got my vote.

I had IMS on my KTM and liked them. My Gas Gas has the F3s and I like them a bit better.

I have had both the Fasways and the IMS. I liked the IMS but I wore a hole in my Tech-8s kick starting my bike. I guess I just hold my foot weird but eveytime I would kick the sharp teeth would dig into my boot. Over time I developed a hole. I now run the Fastways and love them. Mecrazy is right about sharpening the cleats. They do get slick in water of mud.

I had to vote IMS

The stock pegs on my ktm are good & don't need to be replaced!

But on my Vintage Maico's the stock pegs stink & I've tried all the diffrent one's out there ( Not many for the old stuff ) But IMS did make a custom run & they work great!

I've got two of my 3 Maico's set up with the IMS pegs!
