One question about the totally hoss YZF though--are the shrouds cut so that the wind won't rip them off or is there another benefit to that?
DR, the main reason the shrouds are cut is for wind resistance. On the Mile, where speeds are over 100mph, the stockers are like having a barn door attached to the front of the bike. I usually run the stockers on the small tracks. Actually, I think it looks a lot cleaner with them trimmed. Tdub

What kind of stand was that holding up Tryce's bike? Would it function in grass and dirt, or only on concrete or other hard surfaces?
The stand is made by J&M Racing products. They build DT chassis and such. The stand goes for less than $50 and works really well. It is made out of Chromoly and comes unpainted. Mine was powdercoated by my sponsor, Universal Coating. Tdub
