It felt good to be out riding again

We finally had a warm day and an available place to ride. Man it felt good to play again.

I got to the track at 4:00 and stayed until 6:20. I had the whole track to myself until 5:45. It was nice not having to worry about getting in anyone way and not having to park it to rest. When I got tired I just rode around slow then hammered it again when I was rested. I bought 3 gallons of gas and came home with half a tank and an empty gas can I don't normally use that much fuel.

I had one crash and it was a good one. It was one of those invulintary whips that you almost save. The track was like riding on dusty cement, not groomed at all. The jump had a little erosion rut that kicked me sideways. I tore the pinky finger of my brand new glove and scratched a new Amsoil sticker. But the bike and I are both in one piece.

The home made, 2" lower stepper seat was great, I feel much more comfortable on the bike. The new 661 pressure suit was great but the mesh lining chaffed the nipples like crazy.

This morning I checked the body damage out - besides the burning nipples I cut one knee, brused the other, have blisters on both hands and some serious monkey butt . And I love every bit of it!

You are hardcore Mike! Where did you ride? I might make it out for a trail ride this weekend, but am going to stay away from tracks until I know what to expect out of my suspension. I just had FCR do my forks and I'm anxious to try them out.

glad you got some seat time in...i know how good it feels to ride after such a long break.

I went to Lightening - about an hour and a half south of me.

Bandaids - hmm - would have to shave for that, I'm liking the t-shirt idea better. My man boobs aren't big enough for a sport bra.

MV DUCT TAP THEM PUPPIES! It doesn't hurt at all when removing the tap either. I do it all the time when racing
