I'd have to say my favorite SHOP tool would be the air compressor. The rest kind of follow but that is one handy tool!

Favorite tool

First a welcome to Flattire to All Things Moto. We do hope you enjoy this site and will continue to post here. If you have any problems please let a senior moderator or a moderator know and we will help you in any way possible. It is nice to have a Cannondale rider here to share his experiences with us. I hope these bikes are continued to be made in the United States by some arrangement.

To my favorite tool it has to be the Motion Pro fork oil level tool I got last year. I am a tool lover and all my hand and power tools are useful to me, but this precision tool makes a job that needs to be exact and done right easier. I guess the engineer in me likes this tool.

My favorite tool is my sledge hammer. I own 2 vintage maico's & that's all you need to to work on them.

Just kiddin , My favorite tool is the niffty wristpin puller that my buddie gave me, It's work's so slick,No more beatting the wrist pin out with a punch & hammer.

I have a butt load of tools. From air to hand. This wrist pinpuller makes the job so easy & doesn't mess up the connecting rod bearing

Thank's for the welcome. This is an excellent site, I have a tendancy to do more reading than posting but i do jump in once in a while. I have to agree with the sledge hammer, I once owned a 74 square barrel Maico. I still have the hammer

My favorite tool is/was my Snap-On cordless impact wrench.

I used it to get things apart quick....man that was a great tool...I gave over 350 bucks for it and want another one....

Where is it you ask?????????

Seems in Durant Oklahoma there are some young thieving A$$es that like to break into cars at the local schools. My wife is a teacher and drove my truck to work and they got mine a few months ago.
I lost all my tools but the worst was the damage they did to the dash trying to get my Alpine CD player out...I had it bolted in good so they took it out on the interior .....bashed/slashed everything....idiots....: ...anyways...i'm getting mad thinking about it.

My other favorite tool is my 1/2 drive Snap-On torque wrench...I love it....so do all my buddies....:

My MSR ratcheting sparkplug wrench to get those hard to reach sparkplug out of my KTM.

Second best tool is the pipe spring removing tool.

I also have to agree with Stav., my 150,000 btu rocket heater makes it nice working out in the shop on cold days.

Sorry to hear that Kirtwell. I know what you mean about those guys from Durant. They broke into my back window of my pickup last June and stole my golf clubs laying in the back seat. Here is how smart they were... this idiot took it to a local pawn shop (about 2 miles from my place) and they got his name, address, id and license plate number. He is currently resideing in the County jail after pleading guilty to 3 counts of vehicular burgarlary and one count of theft over 1500 (mine). Bad thing is, I was out 300 bucks for the window (deductable was 350) and out another 280 bucks to get my clubs back. He only got 280?? Sheesh, my driver alone was 300! Oh well, noone said criminals were smart.

Thumbs up Re: favorite/best tool?

Favorite tool= 3/8" drive craftsman wratchet, and metric socket set.

2nd favorite tool has got to be my flat sparkplug wrench (for watercooled engines). It takes up very little space, and fits nicely in my fanny pack!

This is a hard one...

Air compressor, as long as I can include the ratchets and hammers and stuff I run off of it...

T-Bars...Ratcheting Combination spanners, 1/4 inch torque wrench... as well as ratcheting screwdriver for working on the bikes

!/2 inch torque wrench and DMM for working on the cars

But most of all.. the fridge... because whatever you have done, it keeps the drinks cold for afterwards... LOL

Too hard to single out one particular tool, I love them all... from Leatherman Pocket tool to the 20CFM compressor...

David

I would have to say my drill. It isn't cordless or anything cool but it does the job. Doesn't do any work on the bike but it does a lot of work around the house. You always have to have a drill.

Default Favorite Tool

ummmm.......favorite tool......thats a hard one! Let me see I would have to say my ratchet and socket sets and then one of the most Handy Tools for getting Tight bolts loose without rounding out the head would be the IMPACT DRIVER, Man thats an awesome tool. A couple of weeks ago I went to pull my clutch cover off and used the right hex wrench to get it loose and I could not break the bolts loose,My dad brought home the IMPACT DRIVER,they were all loose in about 2 minutes . later guys, Matt

My favorite tool is a 3/8 drive tee handle I made out of a couple of old extensions. The only problem is keeping every one from stealing it because it is thier favorite tool also.
