Looks like Chad's day is here again.

EVS doesn't even have the neck brace up on their site yet.[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
I'm guessing it's not available just yet. Hopefully, they will be available soon as I too am interested.

Not suppose to be available until March I think I might try one since I have this narrow nerve cavity and arthritis thing going on in my neck. The Kid get the Leatts and I get the EVS go figure.

Yep pre orders only. I read that they only protect two points, or something to that affect. Apparently they do not offer the same protection that the Leatt does. Alpinestars is coming out with one as well, no idead when that one is coming though.

There may be some litigation issues there, i remember hearing some rumours about it. Also it appears that other well known brands have been in court latley

One Industries Wins Lawsuit with O'Neal

Posted: Saturday, 16th February, 2008 : 11:31 AM - - 1934 Reads -

The federal court in San Diego yesterday brought an abrupt end to claims by Jim O'Neal Distributing, Inc. that One Industries, LLC was infringing its trademarks.
United States District Judge John A. Houston granted summary judgment in favor of One Industries on all claims based on a finding that there was no evidence of any infringement.

The lawsuit began in May 2006, after O'Neal accused One Industries of trademark infringement and threatened to sue if One Industries did not change its name and logo. One Industries asked the federal court for a declaration that it was not infringing any of O'Neal's trademarks. In response, O'Neal counter-sued One Industries as well as its founders Ludo Boinnard and Marc Blanchard, claiming trademark infringement, trade dress infringement, unfair competition, and seeking to cancel the company's registered trademarks.

Yesterday's decision resolved all claims in the case in favor of One Industries.

"We filed this case to clear our name in the face of false accusations by O'Neal" said Marc Blanchard, designer and VP of One Industries, "and yesterday's decision accomplishes that goal. We work really hard to make great products with cutting edge design and the best materials. The idea that O'Neal was claiming we were copying them was pretty surreal."

"It's our second litigation in 4 years and both times we've been successful" added Ludo Boinnard, President and CEO of ONE Industries.

"Our passion, dedication, hard work and success in our sport all originated from a great dream and we're not going to let anybody damage it or crush it. We will always defend our rights and push back hard with all legal efforts and means necessary".

Well, and hopefully ther are no fans of Oneil up in here, I have always thought there MX stuff was pure crap. Never really owned any of it, but their gear looks cheap and not very sturdy. I am a Shift, MSR, Thor, Fox sort of guy. So good for One Inudustries. Oh hey guys, I just got a pair Gaerne SG-10's over the weekend!!! Tried the sidis but they seem to be for narrow footed boys, and the alpinestars and I just wernt feeling the love, but once I put on those SG-10s I was sold, spent more then I wanted to, but hear, its only money, kids dont need college......

Hey Pete,
The Sidi's are nice for a narrow foot. The Stars are nice too for what he is doing. I don't wear them myself but my nephew and son wear them and I like how they protect the ankle. No matter how well the boot is it won't stop ever break especally as fast and hard as those kids ride.

I tell you what works really well for prevention of broken bones. I tell my kids if you break a bone you have to walk to the ER. Or sometimes I tell them if they break anything they wont be in pain long cause I will kill them. Has worked thus far. I also tell them I will sell them to the chinese.

Its nice to know they will be adults and paying for their own metal therapy later in life though......

I can tell you that I am VERY impressed with the overall quality of my Gaerne's WAY nicer then any alpinestars that I have ever owned. They have killer support in the ankle area and are lighter then my tech 8's where.

I have heard good things about the SIDI's as well but don't have any first hand knowledge.
