I would challenge that statement. Needing coffee or some other stimulant is a vicious circle. Caffeine is addictive and once your body becomes accustomed to having it, it thinks it needs it. (like nicotine, etc) Trust me, you can do just fine without a morning jumpstart. Now the second part of this issue is different. Some people like the artificial energy that they get from caffeine. If this is the case, bottoms up.

I just enjoy my coffee, period. I think you're right though Ty, I bet my body things it needs it now. I know if I don't have a cup of coffee in the morning I feel like crap.

I suppose I should just give it up all together...but hey, I can quit anytime I want to.

First off, I'd take with a grain of salt anything I read at GNC. They are just as guilty as anyone of promoting products that have an 'unknown' affect on people. What does a powder with 2000% daily allowance of B12 do to a person after prolonged use? How many gallons of water do you have to drink to flush the Creatine out of your body? etc...
That said, it doesn't take a genius to look at the can and see how much freakin' sugar is in these things. But let's compare:
12oz. can Coke = 39g sugar
20oz. bottle of Coke = 65g sugar
8.3 oz red Bull = 28g sugar
20oz can Monster = 27g x 2 = 54g sugar

I already drink a lot of soda. Drink one for lunch(plus a refill before leaving, so count that as at least 2), one at dinner, maybe another thru out the day. I've simply started drinking water at lunch and added a Monster on my drive home. Like Motoman said, at least it has a lot of good stuff in it to go along with the sugar. And it does say on the Monster can(no warning on the Red Bull) not to exceed 3 a day(everything in moderation).
Still after a workout, I'll stick with good old water or Gatorade. But I don't see anything wrong with a daily Monster/Red Bull. But it should probably be taken INSTEAD of that soda that you'd otherwise drink. If you don't drink any soda or coffee, my hats off to you.
/Mike

I agree that caffiene is addictive. I just need a jumpstart in the morning and that provides it. I truly believe the majority of the population in the US drinks a coke, coffee, or energy drink in the morning. That is why Starbucks is making great money off of all of us.

I knew my coffee buddy would agree. How is your mug? Mine broke awhile ago and I think we each need a new one. I am on the lookout for something good.

Poifect post.

Buuuut a wee little birdy told me about the vodka (or even jager) mixing well with redbulls, or rockstar.

Rockstar is my favorite. Twice as much for the same price as the rest. Plus, it makes you party like a rockstar, duhhhh. And sobe is amazing. Energy, Power, and Courage are my favorites.

I like rockstar the best, but I only drink them when I am getting gas or something, and I "happen" to see one. Monster is too sweet, redbull tastes weird....I could go on for days. At the track or trails I stick to vitamin water(which has a ton of..........vitamins lol) which I looooove, or gatorade.

I like the NOS drinks the best, but i've been trying to lay off of them. That crap is addictive, i get the worst headaches if i don't have one, but i've switched to the smaller cans to ween myself off of 'em.

Oh and redbull and yager-pure magic

If you guys like Red Bull with alcohol, try Sparks or Sparks Light.

It is 6% alcohol (at least the stuff here in PA is) and is an alcohol/energy drink that is supposed to taste just like Red Bull. I've never tried it myself, but that is what one of my customers told me. Now you won't have to mix Red Bull and whatever in a glass because this comes pre-mixed in 16oz cans.

Why yes, I DO sell beer and malt beverages for a living now.

So does Bud E and Tilt. Here in Utah we're only allowed 3.2% though, but both taste just like Rockstars to me.

In the morning: 32 oz of 1/2 Rooster Booster / 1/2 Mt Dew. I'm pretty sure that combo is going to gut me pretty quickly.

In the evening: Captain Morgan and coke or rum and coke.

WATER ALL DAY LONG!!!!
