Default DV on a roll

How can this guy not have gotten picked up for a factory ride???....I hung out with him and his wife (shes hot!!) at a friends house a while back...(right after Reality of Speed)...and the dude was cool...hard to understand, but cool...he was really having some bad luck and questioning himself, but it seems he finally got his stuff together...now a factory team needs to take notice...Good Luck DV

Yeah lately in supercross he's been riding fast. Facroty rides don't want to pick him up because he's a whiney lazy french guy lol.

yea, well i remember reading that team yamaha is out of the question but maybe if he does well on a honda, maybe Factory Honda could pick him up next season?

but think about it, it must be awsome for MDK motorsports to have TWO factory caliber riders on their "privateer" team.

Well said! Maybe the realization that hitting the powdered donuts instead of the track helped wake him up to the fact that he needed to get his butt going.

A Factory ride? I think DV is in his twilight and after a good season this year he should consider his options. If I were him I'd look to Rogain or Hair Club for Men if this season goes bad. Sponcership for him could be difficult due to the negitive spin Reality of Speed put on him. You need to remember before working for the Blue Coller Bookoo Team he had Factory. If it seemed like he was a bit snobish and spoiled its because he was on other teams. I like the fact that hes pushing himself to win this year it seems. DV should take a look around and think of importing some EURO riders to race for him...Oh yeah he married a hottie and he's broke, ha ha. He really should help some of those Euro guys make the trans over to the states. It would make him look more than just an above average rider in the corperate world. When he helped that girl out I thought he was stepping in the direction of making his team at that time. I hope he and 3 place guy, really battle it out this year.

who was leading JS and RC at the US Open, and was 2nd fastest in practice behind RC, if he can do that while hes being lazy id love to see him work hard and be focused.

He did have a good factory deal with that blue team.

He has really stepped it up this season, I was watching him when I was at Vancouver, he had some great battles with Wey.

So, if you are a factory race team, would you sign up DV and invest mega bucks in him when he is nearing the downside of his career or would you look at the up and comers?

DV is on the team he is on not because of the way he is riding today, but because of the way he RODE for the past couple years. If a factory runs out of younger options, he may get a ride, but I don't see it happening.

Factories dont pick up David because he left Yamaha for no apparent reason. Plus, he would never practice. One of the reps from Fly told me that when they did photo shoots, and they'd ask him to go ride, he'd agree to doing it. But he'd only do two laps and than pull it in and not do anything for the rest of the day. In some ways, I look at David Vuillemin as a modern day version of Jean Michael Bayle, except with a little less talent.
