That's exactly what I did. And after getting scratched, some flat black paint and a couple decals get you lookin good again!

Wow Baron...you just got me a helmet that retails around $433 for $200 (assuming its an 07) God Bless ya!!

More than likely it is either an 05 or 06 model. They haven't change that helmet since then other than changing graphics. I wouldn't worry about the model year. A V-Moto or V-MT is the same helmet regardless of the model year. The VFX-DT is the upgraded model but the only difference is the venting system.

Haha 05 or 06 sure beats the 20 yr old piece of junk I have now (its a shoei go figure...probably wasnt bad 20 yrs ago though)


I read all of the features of the helmet..wow it sounds amazing

After my crash I did a lot of research on helmets trying to find the safest, lightest and highest quality helmet that I could, but I'm no millionaire so it had to be affordable too. The Shoei V-Moto is absolutely awesome! It pains me to see people spending $400+ on Troy Lee helmets simply for the paint job and the shell shape. Sure they look cool, but they don't offer the protection that a $400+ helmet should provide. Trust me, I have a broken one in my garage.

Wow yeah in motosport they have the troy lee SE2 helmets for 450$!! To me they look kind of old fashioned..dont ask why lol

I did it!!! I bought the Black Shoei Helmet!!! I really owe you one Baron...if you ever need something just shoot me a PM . Going to work with my dad has payed off (even though I still have to work off an additional $90 because I was a little short) This week will just get better. New helmet, getting my carb jetted (finally) and going riding this weekend if it doesnt rain!
