Default Dealership employee

This weekend while visiting my fiance in Lincoln NE we took a trip up to Star City Motorsports in their new building. While we were inside wondering the isle of TTRs and my fiance was sitting on them seeing how they felt and what she was comfy with a sales guy came over and started talking to me about the good stuff (blue bikes) and we started talking about this and the other thing when he asked why I was in town and I told him it was for my fiance and getting registered for school in the coming year and looking at apartments for when I move down. Then he asked me if I would be looking for work and he mentioned that he could probably get me a job at the parts counter. I was so exhilerated I couldn't believe it. I've always wanted to work for a dealership I just never thought it'd happen yet. I'm going to be getting ahold of him during the week to try and figure out what kind of pay I can get and discounts on parts ect... Sounds pretty good so far but I've got more to learn. Just thought everyone here might like to know.

Just remember what its like to stand on the customer side of the counter and all will be good! I always thought that would be a fun job but I don't think the money is enough for me to support the bike habit...uh, the family.

Shifting, I'll try hard to remember that things are always different from the customers perspective. The hardest thing I think will be not buying everything I can for me and taking some green home...

Thanks Matt

You know what? I think you just may have found something that really turns your crank! And you know, I don't you think you'll have to worry bout bringin' the green stuff home. . .you'll be fine. It's just completely awesome that you're happy. You'll be fine as long as there isn't any lil' ones comin' along.

Not a bike shop but a I work in a sales postion similar to it. We pride ourselves on customer service and bend over backwards to take care of our customers. When you think of a business that does almost a billion in dales a year with a net of over 100 million...giving away a couple hundred bucks in parts and labor to make someone come back and to make them happy is a very small price to pay. Ryan what kind of a sales position is this and what business is this? Anything over 100 million net is huge man and at that rate you can afford to do alot to keep customers because in the long run they will pay you back 20 times over with good word of mouth and repeate sales. Anyway that's awesume!
