Totally fantastic. Travis has always amazed me--what a guy! Never even watched Doug before, but now I'm a HUGE fan!

Thanks for sharing Mainjet! This further confirms my thought that Doug Henry is one of the baddest dudes to ever throw a leg over a dirt bike. His determination and drive to never give up never ceases to amaze me!
Way to go Doug, you da MAN!

I appreciate your words Chase, a bunch and agree.

I would like to think thatís because of their dirt bike successes and what they learned from competition.
I know two (personally) other riders with same situation as Doug. Chris Blais & Mitch Payton.
Both of them, like Doug, never let the injury change their outlook on life, their drive and are successful as a few others that I don't personally know.

I have always been a DH fan but this is just to cool. His determination (and he still has a lot of skill) has always impressed me. I wish I could be half the man he is...What a stud.

While I'm sure that plays a big part of it, I think the way that someone is raised as a child plays a big part of it as well. Either way, DH is and will always be one of my favorite riders because of what he has been through and refusing to ever give up.
I always think about this poster Fox made way back when, after Henry's first big crash at Budd's Creek:
