Angry Clutch problems for my new bike!!

Het guys,

Lately when i go riding, I experence pretty bad clutch problems. First off, when i'm about to hit a jump, sometimes it gets stuck in a neatural spot, and the ****er revs like madd.

Then sometimes I will be going and when i go to shift to 2nd, it will get stuckl in neaturl.

So what are some options? thsnkd for any help!!!

Plus this bike is just a matter of being only 6 months old, and only ridden really hard like twice, and i ride like 1 once a week, and i' m a mellow rider.

first, be sure that you're clicking all the way up and not just tapping the shifter. that would be my first bet. does it act like this as soon as you hop on it? it doesn't sound like you've done anything on it that would have bent a shift fork. it may just be that you need to rotate the shift lever down a click or two so that you get a better hit on it when you shift.

I am guessing that you are in second gear to hit the jump. When my son first got his XR100 he would lean forward over the bars and hit the shifter while jumping. After riding it for a year he has got it down. Give it some time.

Then sometimes I will be going and when i go to shift to 2nd, it will get stuckl in neaturl.

Make sure you are reving the motor over half throttle before you shift to second. Again experiance from my son

Good luck and keep trying, you'll get it

for one thing, when the thing revs like madd, its like neatural, and i have to hit the shifter up or down, to go. and this happens in 4 or 5th

It sounds like you have a bent shifter fork or a bad gear, but I am no expert on gears. Maybe someone else here would have more info.

Take it back to the dealer and ask them to take a look at it. There isn't really a warrenty on bikes, so its all based on the dealer

I agree with the gears. I'm not an expert at it myself but from everything that I've been reading with my 01 tranny in my raptor 2nd and 4th gears are connected by the dogs on the gears correct?

So maybe you should ask them to check out the tranny

I will be the first to say if it is out of warranty to repair any gears in a tranny is costly if you pay someone to do it. For my raptor when it goes out I can spent about 400 in parts and do it myself ( have no idea how ) Or I can pay the dealership 1,000+ dollars to do it :-)

Keep in mind most places will only give a 30 day warranty when they make repairs of this type.

My buddy had a gear replaced on his 400ex and it was $1200. Ouch! The gear was like $20 or less I think. I think I'm in the wrong buisness.

Sounds like you definitely got a bent shifter fork...not sure how much it is to fix though, call the dealer.
