I have an 02 CR250 and am going to be changing the plastic soon. I was thinking of changing from red to all black or all white but i dont want it to look like junk after a few rides. Have any of you had expirence with black or white plastic. I race harescrambles so its gonna get beat up, but the red seems to always come away looking pretty good and am wondering if the other colors will stay looking good for very long

white does, black doesn't. my 92 YZ still has stock plastics on most of it and they are scratched BAD. but they still look good. you have to look closely to see them. you can see messed up black plastics from a mile away. plus, everyone has a black CR! Rob

All white with the black air box looks cool. Plus the white doesnt show the dirt anyhting like the black does.

i know the white looks really good but how is it to keep clean. Does it stain really bad or can it be kept clean easily.

it can be kept clean pretty easily. ESPECIALLY if you spray it down with WD40 before you ride. (the mud doesnt stick as easily) Rob

I do have to agree, the White CR500AF looks sweet. If I ever get a CRF450 I'd switch to white in a heart beat. The scratches on white done show up as bad, until mud gets in them, then it will make the scratches darker. |

I have black plastic and I think it still looks new, I mean it is scuffef from crashes, but when you see the bike roll by it still looks great. On the other hand I've seen white plastic showing lots of dirt in the scratches.

I love all white bikes! I don't think it shows stuff too bad, but I think you might have problems with gas tank coloration...

i've got a black tank anyways, so the coloration shouldnt be a problem, and i ordered white plastic yesterday and the white one industries graphics kit.

My friend has an 04 CRF 450 with the one industries white plastic kit on it. Everything is white. It is sweet lookin. He has raced about 5 harescrambles and not a scratch on it. He races in A class too. Everything on my bike is black and Ive race a few harescrambles and ya cant see scratches in black easy.
