Black '08 CRF 450

in all honesty i would of without question bought a crf250r over a yz250f. supposedly the crf250r handles like its on rails. i mean it sounds like an amazing bike, except the reliablity issues. 04 with the piston skirt, 05 and 06 with the valves..

i bought the yz250f because it has a great motor, great suspension and great reliablilty. it does however not handle as well as the honda


I HATE people who bash other brands..i mean a bike is a bike, who care what brand, as long as you ride awesome

besides, mortals like us *probably* wont be faster on a blue bike then a red bike, or a pink bike then on buffys bike....just had to throw that in there

You know what -- if I was in the 250F market I don't think I'd buy the honda either. I'm talking 450's though, and I loved mine.

I am just blowing you crap dude. I don't think I would do the EFI on the first year either, I mean they didn't send all 11 bikes back to Japan for nothing.

Another reason I am pushing for this year on the honda, I like to be able to get a new ride once ever 2 to 3 years and if I wait till next year I am sure the Honda will be on the first year of EFI and I really don't want that till year 2.

As for a 250f....I would either go green or Blue, no question.

Yeah, so say efi comes out next year. Then you should wait at least another year to get all the bugs out..so really a 2 year wait sucks.


Motoman, what about the RMZ's with the EFI. They had it last year, right?

the 450 quad had EFI i'm pretty sure. i haven't heard anything bad about it, but a the same time, i haven't heard anything good. i haven't heard anything at all.. must be deaf.

Yeah the quad had it, but not the bikes, and for some reason Suzuki took the first ones back to japan as there was some kind of issue from what I heard.

Me thinks MotoMan needs a good kicking in the nuts to set him straight! I rode an 06 CRF 450R back to back with my 06 YZ 450F in the woods one day, and to be honest other than one bike was white and one was blue I couldn't tell much difference. The Honda handled slightly differently than my YZ, but it was set up for a guy much heavier than me so that may have influenced it. I felt I could go just as fast and ride just as well on either bike. Mine has an off-road flywheel in it BTW. The CRF I rode was Freak's, haven't seen him around much lately but maybe he'll chime in.

I also found out from my local honda shop that only the "premier" shops got the black honda's. Premier translates to shops that sell ONLY honda

Yep, the 450's are pretty spendy -- I believe Honda is the most expensive.

Any new bike is great.I still love the yz 250 but I have been on a 06 crf 450 for over two years because I can ride it with less efort.
