The best one is the one that works best for you. I prefer Yamaha's, but I wouldn't say they are the "best."

Hondas have won my heart over due to their quality level. Yamaha was right there with the best of them in performance in the latter half of the 2 stroke era and then built on that hugely with development of the fourstroke. Lately I question the future of their offroad line of dirtbikes especially motocross. I read an article about how the old FACTORY TEAMS had a direct feed back to R&D at YAMAHA. This made for a pretty steady progression of bike evolution and development.
Just look at the 2012 Kx450 compared to Stewbomb"s JGR creation. RV2 got his hands on his first one at Unadilla, and it was AMA legal that he could rice it. Dungey just couldn't hang with him the rest of the season in speed and comfort. Next year I fully expect RV2 and RV2 to pull away from the rest of the field in most of the races. Look how funding a racing team can improve a MX bike in the KTM 450 that KTM made for DUNGEY and a we can buy. Although I guess first run of those was like 1300 bikes or something. The minimum requirement to make the bike legal AMA competition.

Anyways I hope YAMAHA get back into MX racing with full factory support, they were always my favorite factory rig.

Everybody loves Honda and Yamaha. Anybody know how good KTMs are? Always wondered. I have rode several older Yamahas and an older Honda. Give me a Yamaha any day Just my opinion. Come on everybody! Hop in with both feet.

I do like Yamaha and support them for keeping there 2t line up but when it comes to reliability and performance.hands down Honda. Give them an ounce of love and they'll give u a pound of reliability!

HONDA HONDA HONDA, Great quality bikes, Yahmaha is my second choice and suzuki after, I stay away from kawasaki and KTM is over priced in my opinion. Husky is a little big on the price tag also but ive never had any experience with them.

Ha Don....there's just nothing that handles like a Maico. Keeping one running is a completely different story! But when they run....oh so good!

I ride a Honda...but like racing the '83 zuk best.

I voted "other" because they're all good; each for a different reason or purpose.
The bike in my avatar is my current primary ride and it's obviously a Honda. It turns 30 next year but I doubt I will replace it any time soon. I don't think anyone makes a bike that I would like as much.
