Take a look at these beauties!

I love that Mugen Honda. Even the word Mugen sounds fast!

Brings back some memories.

I still hate that stupid rear fender/numberplate combination on the 81 KX.

Yup! neat old bikes.

Vintage Dave just picked up a Yamaha YZ250B. the very first year monoshock!

I can't wait to see it after it's restored.

Andy:

Dave can't do that! I have the bike here in Houston. I'll have to barrow a digital camera & do it for him!

Give me a few days to get the camera! It's rough, but it's 99% their & there's plenty of parts out there.

I hope I can get the bike to him soon as my garage is got no more room left..........LOL & I still have my 83' Maico 490 Spyder to build.....well maybe I can just fit that 83' YZ 490 Dave & I found ?

Right now Howard is using my YZ as a lowrider. No fork springs in it, someone did the standard air fork mod. But since we're in Texas, lowriders are cool.

The boys at Cyclestop have some inroads to the factory riders of the 70's and 80's and have a pretty awesome collection of factory works bikes. They are good friends with Brian "the machine" Myerscough and Chappy Blose (whose son now rides for the Samsung/LCS/Central Yamaha team) and can be seen on "The Reality of Speed" show every Saturday on TV.

They also have some old Jeff Ward stuff and have sold/acquired a Yamaha OW125 and a Johnny O'Mara replica Mugen 125 to Joe Newmann who is in the same club with Howard and me.

Newmann normally brings the vintage works bikes to the GMB races. Another reason to come.

If only I knew then what I know now! About six years ago I sold my 1982 cr125 for $650. It wasn't restored, but it was a good, solid bike. I've regretted selling it ever since. And then there's the 1977 cr125 that I had the chance to buy for $100 when I lived in AZ. It didn't run, but was complete. I lived in an appartment and the time and didn't have anywhere to store it!

Now BigH, you know there's always room for "just one more." LOL!
Dave, I have the carcass of a '76 YZ250 and a complete DT250 motor that I think is a 74. I doubt if you could use anything off the 76 (?), but that 74 motor might have something you could use if ya need it. Please feel free to ask me when the time comes.......
