Default Anyone watched "Bridge to Tarabithia"

The wife and her mother took the kids to San Diego to go to the zoo, Sea World, Lego Land and all that, so I'm sitting around doing nothing but twiddling my thumbs. I decided to go to Blockbuster and rent some flicks and while I was there I snagged this movie because it looked alot like "The ion,the Witch and the Wardrobe".

Well I just finished watching it and maybe it's just been a while or something, but my eyes are swelled from crying like a dang baby! No kidding. Man what a movie. I'm not going to spill the beans for everyone but I think my heart just grew three sizes!

I guess I need to watch it. We have it and my kids did not like it one bit, neither did Wobbie's kids. In their words, "It was really bad."

Maybe I'm lonely or something. I couldn't tell you the last time I cried, seriously, but this movie had me bawling like a 6 month old babbie!

How long have you had it? I almost got into a knock-down-drag-out with some old broad over the last copy!

The hubby bought it for the kids last weekend.

I'll try to pop it in sometime and watch it with an open mind.

Baron, is it that time of the month? Maybe its your hormones

Sorry I couldn't resist

I am glad you mentioned it. I almost purchased it yesterday cause my 6 yr old (Jude) has been asking for it. But he chose "Happy feet" instead.

Is it sad all the way till the end? No happiness at all in the end?? PLEASE PM me and tell me I got to know!!

Yeah, my wife read the book and I think it may ruin the movie for her making me the only one that cries over it.

The casting in the movie is phenominal. Leslie reminds me so much of my oldest daughter and the younger sister looks too much like my youngest daughter. Maybe that was what set me off. Man, I could watch it again right now and the water works would start flowing again, SHEESH!!!

Did you get invited to San Diego too? Or did they just leave you all alone?

I got the impression they meant bad as in they didn't like it.

It kind of surprised me, because they'd been wanting to see the movie.

I couldn't get off of work to do it and the wife thought it would do me good to have some "quiet time". Had I known this would happen I would have quit my job and gone with!

I think that it may be a little over the heads of younger viewers. It has some exciting parts for the kiddies, but I think older kids and adults will get more out of it.

awesome Re: Anyone watched "Bridge to Tarabithia"

I edited this in the hopes that it will not spoil it for someone else. Please do not ruin things for others. I'm sure you wouldn't want someone to ruin a movie for you. Think before you post!

Way to ruin the ending there Chief. Not like we have all seen it yet or anything.

This is a clear sign that you are hormonal. You may need to talk to your OBGYN again....
