i've been nice. several times.
new chain and sprockets due to chain falling off and stripping of sprockets (that were worn so bad they looked like a circular saw blade instead of sprocket) $100
braided stainless steel brake line ripped clean off at the dunes- $50.
bike bogs on jump due to low compression and lands me on my head from 20 feet up, concussion. gaskets, coolant, piston kit- $130
tire explodes in practice $80
head gasket blows, need coolant, head gasket $40
throttle cable sticks, new throttle cable $30
rear fender literally falls off $20
another head gasket blows, crank main bearings blow, dirt gets in engine via who-knows-how: new piston kit, gaskets, split cases myself, seals, gaskets for bottom end, bottom end bearings, coolant- $250

now this. i'll need a replate, new top end kit, gaskets, coolant, possibly bottom end bearings again, seals, bottom end gaskets, wrist pin bearing- approx. $800 expected.

i've been very nice. it runs great for a little while then blows up.

YAY another wonderful find: broken left motor mount. no idea how much that costs, and the frame is slightly cracked.

so who wants to buy a YZ? fully rebuilt..... curse is free!

Blitz...sounds like maybe you should take the $800 you expect to spend on fixing it this time 'round and put it towards a newer bike?

Good grief! I am sorry to hear of all your troubles, I feel for you Blitz. I know bikes are supposed to be like women, you work on them all week for a couple hours of fun on the weekend, but it sounds like you have been getting a raw deal.

I know it would suck to bite the bullet and just part out the bike you have, but do you think it is worth it to fix? If everything was back to normal how much is the bike worth? You might be better off to just get your self a new bike and part this one out on Ebay or something.

Sorry man, I can't believe your luck, and I hope it changes...

Yeah, id have to say, a 1992 isnt really worth fixing. Heck, my 1998 is hardly worth fixing. Part the puppy out, and have fun on your new RM 125.

After reading the post, I am still confused on what it was?

Did you say you figured out what did this, or is that yet to be seen?:

I vote this too Blitz. If you fix it, you're going to have a huge headache and just about trade dollars for dollars. You'll be surprised what it will bring on eBay...........
