the guy at the local shop was trying to sell me an aluminum throttle tube...he said it reduces arm pump a conciderable ammount. he had a few different ones on hand and said he preffered the pro taper one with the bearing in it. any comments are appreciated about how you like these aftermarket tubes, and which one you prefer.

I had one on my 97 KX 250. I replaced the stock one because it was cracked. The aluminum one might hold up better in a crash. Other than that I couldn't tell the diffrence between the two. As for helping with arm pump, lets just say that sounds like something that would come from a sales man.

I'd have to agree, I can't see how it would help with arm pump, especially since if it did, it would be in the arm that (for me anyway) doesn't get it as bad anyway. With that said, the pro-taper one does seem nice, but spendy.
