Default 3 new bikes --- CR and YZ

Okay, I freaked out and bought 3 bikes in the past 2 weeks. I sold my 2008 KX450F. It didn't suit me and I am more comfortable on 2-strokes. I picked up a 2003 CR250R, a 2001 YZ250, and a 1999 YZ125. The CR is in great shape and is ready to roll. The 2 YZs also run but I want to get the carbs worked on because they haven't been ridden much in the past few years. I will end up selling the YZ250 in the spring and keeping the other 2. I got both YZs from a guy for $1900 so I made off pretty well.

The 125 needs a carb rebuild. When the gas is in the "on" position, gas leaks from that tube under the bike. It starts up and I rode it around yesterday so at least I know it's close to being ready. The YZ250 smokes out the front of the engine where the pipe meets the engine. Hopefully it is just bad O-rings and needs some grease in there to seal it. There is also some black sludgy oil on and around the swing-arm. It also started up with ease but I didn't ride it around because I wasn't sure about the smoke situation. I have a guy that can do the work for me but I might just wait until the spring.

Sounds like both those Yamaha's are in bad shape, you should probably just sell them to me cheap and cut your losses...

Okay, good news. I found a local mechanic that will rebuild the carb on my yz125 for $40 (I have the rebuild kit that I bought from Rocky Mountain for $26) and he will clean the carb and install the O-Ring and Spring kit to the pipe (I have the O-ring and spring kit I got for $12) for $60. Not too bad. I am still not very much money into these 2 bikes and hopefully they will be running like champs very soon.
