Default 2005 CRF250R review

As some know, i bought my '05 CRF250R about 2 weeks ago. I broke it in, and was very anchious to let her rip. One thing i noticed right away was the amazing torque that it pushed out. It would bring the front end up with no trouble at all. I got a chance to take it out of my 2 acres of woods/ trials at my house and out to the huge section of woods/open dirt now being torn down for houses near my house. It whipped through giant mounds and ruts like nothing i have ever rode. I noticed something that my RM100 wouldnt do, and my KX250 wont do now. I could rev it out really high , but then still be able to rev it farther to pop up my front end and pull forever. The power is simply awsome around turns, it has no trouble at all climbing any hills that i have climbed, and it is a great bike. One thing i did notice too though, was that I couldnt flick the throttle back really fast without it flooding at first and taking a second to rev up. Then again, when are you at idle on the track, and suddenly want to pull the throttle as fast as you can all the way back. It may also be that it wasnt fully warmed up though, im not sure. I have not flooded a plug yet to have to take off the tank to change it, and hopefully wont have to anytime soon. I check the oil every time i hop on the bike, i have shaved off the two end spikes near the clutch cover of the foot break (incase i reck on my right side, the spikes dont just go right through, like a picture i have seen), and got some works connection radiator braces/oil filter shield. So far, i am happy with my choice, and i hope that i can take her to some tracks soon. thanks for reading. :

Very nice. Thanks for the overview of your new ride.

Some of the reviews I have read recently describe the same hesitation you mention and have found relief through jetting adjustment. You may want to look into the Dr. D jetting kit (so Thumpertalk). Or just inquire with some individuals who ride the same and can spec. out your setup as per your elevation, et al.
