2001 honda cr 125 bogg Hey guys I have a 2001 cr 125 that I just bought and I have only ridden it twice. The first time I rode the bike it had a bogg on acceleration and after you rode the bike hard the bog goes away until you slow down or gear down. I brought the bike home and leaned the mixture screw out and readjusted the idle. After this I rode the bike again and the bogg worsened and the bike fouled three spark plugs in 2 hours. I brought the bike home and removed the carb since the guy I bought it off of said the main jet had been changed. The metering rod position was at the second clip so i moved it to the third since I am in Ontario Canada and that is the stock setting. The stock main jet is a 380 and this bike has a 370, the slow jet is stock at a 45 and the mixture screw I put at 2 1/4 turns since that is stock in the manual. I started the bike and it idles good but the bogg is still there. I am runnign 32-1 fuel like the manual says, I have a new twin air filter the float level in the carb is good and the carb is clean. I think I am on the right path but I have heard crank seals can cuase this problem but when I pull the fouled plug out it doesnt have alot of oil deposit and it is not that wet. Should I be checking the reeds? I am not a newbie to mx but I just wanted to make sure I am not missing somthing simple here. Any ideas would be greatly apprieciated. |
