you must be 6'5" and 205 lbs with a body fat percentage less than 3%. a lean mean dirt bike riding machine. with that being said.... my little nephew who is 14 years old and is 5'1" and 100 lbs rides a 1999 YZ125 like the wind. so, basically, anyone can ride whatever bike thier SKILL level lets them. you can go faster on a bike that matches your skill level.

As much as Im aginst 4 strokes, I'd think you would be better(alot) on one. Try looking into a ttr-125L or crf-150 or any other small 4 strokes that fits your needs. "Gotta learn how to walk befor you run"

Zoe. everyone posses the ability to ride a dirt bike. for some it comes more natrual and other have to try harder to get good at things. for example, i love math and excel at it where my friends fail. but my friends can play soccer better than i can. another example, i can drink a 6 pack of budweiser in 10 mintues where my friend can only kill a tall can (24 oz). we all have our own special skills an abilites. never say never.

yeah i guess so but my parent are those kind of people that will buy you what you want but wont help you do something ....for example if your in a sport she will buy you what you need but she wont help you if you need help so she told me i might be able to get a dirt bike just figure out everything you will need and so on but it better last a long time cause she wont buy another one if i grow out of it talent wise or height wise so that was why i have no clue what to do about the bike issue

i would try to go w/ something alittle smaller if i were you, doesn't neccessarily have to be a 4 stroke but i wouldn't get a 125 quite yet, my first bike was a YZ 80 2 stroke, i did good on that to learn, then i sold that, got a newer and faster 80, then got my 125, i'm only 5'3" and 115 lbs, so give it a year or two then i'd go w/ a 125............

I dont think a 125 smoker would be a good bike for somone that has never rode....1)you wont be able to ride it because you dont know how to use clutch and you would foul 30 plugs bfore you figure out how to go 20 feet 2)you gotta know how to maintain bikes aand 125s need alot of maintinense. 3)your gonna getr hurt because 125s have alot of power...there not for playing around..if your gonna just ride on trails fdont get it...get it if your gonna jump or race...just get a ttr125 or crf150 or even a clutchless bike then get a 125 later on....paaaaaayycce!

LoL I gess you going to have to learn the hard way. Id suggest a kx 125 then, they have the lowest seat height of the 125s. You dont need a big yz 125 (39 inch seat height).

You can ride a 125, Get one that you like you can get on and start then get your brother to teach you very breifly about throttle and clutch. I recommend a wide open field or someplace with hardly any trees so if you wide open throttle it you wont go into anything. When I teach poeple I tell them to work the throttle and i'll clutch while i run along side of them so they have hardly a chance of getting hurt. Good luck.
